fam·i·ly

/ˈfam(ə)lē/

A group of one or more parents and their children living together as a unit.

True Meaning of Family:

Family consists of the people who support and love you and the people you can confide in and trust.

That's the definition of family, isn't it? People who you can trust. People who love and support you.

But just because they're labeled as family on a document paper, doesn't mean they are.

Just because they're family by blood doesn't mean they are.

Especially when they don't treat you like family or disrespect you as a person, as their— child.

All children deserve parents but not all parents deserve children.

It's not my fault. I didn't do anything wrong.

It's not my fault that I'm not my parents' dream child.

I always hated myself for being introverted and for loving being alone.

Remembering your self-worth is important; it's hard, but I did it.

He taught me to love myself, he reminded me that there's so much more.

And I'll do whatever it takes to return the love and support he gave me in the best way possible.
