Skye orders him, turning her attention back to the task at hand, fixing up two cups of tea. From the corner of her eye, she can see Clint nod his head and head for his room, probably to grab his phone. Taking the silence and short time alone, Skye makes sure she is calm enough to deal with what ever is going on right now. She has to be there for Gwen and she's going to make sure her friend is safe and sound.

Grabbing the two cups once ready, she returns to the living room, places herself beside Gwen and hands her one of the cups. Happy that her friend takes the cup and takes a careful sip. Leaning back, she let's Gwen drink some of the tea to calm her nerves down. Seeing how Gwen lowers her cup after a few minutes, Skye takes her in properly.

"Can you tell me what is going on, I thought you were going to your senior prom tonight?"

As she mentions the senior prom, she sees how Gwen freezes up, eyes going empty once more and Skye grows worried for what feels like the hundredth time already.

"Peter is dead."

Skye is sure, that if she had not been sitting where she is in this moment, she wouldn't have been able to hear what Gwen said.

"What?"

She didn't want to believe what she heard, he can't be dead, he was completely fine just the other day. And what would this have to do with Gwen being wanted for murder?

"Gwen, I think you need to start from the very beginning because I have no idea of what is going on."

She says, taking Gwen's hand in the progress and tries to force her friend to look at her. Seeing how Gwen takes in a deep breath and tries to collect herself, Skye keeps calm. It's no need trying to work herself up in the moment, Gwen needs her, and she is going to make sure to do anything she can for her.

"Peter have been working on something, he never told me at the start what it was, but I soon managed to pull it out of him. He was working on a way to be more like his hero, me."

Gwen starts to explain, and Skye just nods her head at this, remembering how Gwen have been complaining about him not talking to her about his secret work and she had tried to get Skye in on the talk to, even asked if she could hack into his computer to find out what he is doing. Peter on the other hand seemed to have expected this and made sure to do all his paperwork and research the old fashion way, with pen, paper and books. In the moment it had irritated her.

"Hero? Don't take it the wrong way Gwen, I love you, but a hero?"

She asks, keeping her voice light and hits her shoulder into Gwen's in a way to show her that she is joking. Seeing a small smile on her best friend's face makes Skye smile bigger.

"I'm Spider-woman."

She says, and Skye rolls her eyes and leans back in the couch.

"Yeah, tell me something I didn't already know, and I still think that name is ridiculous."

Skye replies and she can see how Gwen's eyes grow large out of surprise at this. Smiling and shaking her head, Skye leans forwards once more.

"Have you forgotten I live with Hawkeye and Black Widow? I know all about keeping a secret identity. Besides, it was quite easy to figure out, I know my best friend. And I also know that you would tell me when you were ready."

Skye explains, shrugging her shoulders in the progress and she can see how Gwen is trying to progress everything that just happened. Her mouth opens and closes a few times before she lets out a heavy sigh and lets her head fall forwards.

"I should have known."

She whispers and Skye can't help but to laugh slightly at the comment. Shaking her own head, she forces the happiness away for now, there is still parts of her story she still doesn't understand.

"So, getting that little thing out of the way, what happened tonight?"

"He showed up at prom, he was however not himself. His experiment turned him into a lizard like creature. At the time, I didn't know it was Peter so I put everything I had into the fight, I should have listened when he asked for a de-escalation. When I finally took down the lizard, it turned into Peter and due to the hits and attacks I had placed on him as a lizard was to much for him and he didn't make it, so the media isn't wrong, I am a murderer. They just don't know the full story."

Gwen explains, her voice growing weaker and weaker the further into the story and she's crying as she reaches the end. Grabbing hold of her, Skye pulls her into a hug and holds her tightly, letting her cry out as much as needs. From the corner of her eye, she can see Clint look out from the kitchen, phone to his ear and she can see the sadness and worry in his own eyes.

They sat like that for almost 20 minutes, some time during it all, Clint sneaked into the room to place a bottle of water on the table for Gwen before heading back to the kitchen once more. As Gwen pulls herself away from the hug, Skye reaches for the water bottle and hands it over. She receives a weak smile from Gwen before she starts to drink. Silence falls over them once more and Skye tries to figure out their next move, she does however have a good idea of what needs to be done, she already made sure that there is a plan in movement. Gwen on the other hand doesn't know this yet.

"Alright, so the police force is now going to be after you, which is not great. However..."

"I never like it when you say it like that."

"Oh, come on! Not all the time have been bad once. Anyhow, when I went to make tea, I literally run into Clint, he has been on the phone with Natasha and Maria this whole time, updating them on what is going on. And I think..."

Skye explains, turning her head towards the kitchen to see Clint standing in the door opening, phone in his hand and nodding his head.

"Or rather, it looks like S.H.I.E.L.D will be able to provide you protection from the police. Which means our favorite Ghost-Spider can keep on being out there saving people. You don't have to start doing it right away if you feel like you need time."

Skye continues to explain, and she could see the confusion in Gwen's eyes once more.

"Ghost-spider?"

"What? It sounds way better than Spider-woman and if the police is going to haunt after you, then why not have a cooler name in it all. But you will always be Spider-Gwen within these walls."

"Here, here!"

Turning our heads towards Clint, we can see him pointing towards the phone, I had a feeling that he has placed it on speaker so Natasha and Maria could hear us, which explained the here, here comment from Natasha. Shaking my head and smiling I turn my attention back to Gwen.

"See, your crazy spider auntie agrees with me. Now, it's late, you woke me up, so now we will go to bed. Because I guess you don't want to go home, right?"

Seeing how Gwen nods her head at this, Skye stands up and holds out her hand and Gwen grabs her hand. Leading her to her bedroom, Skye starts to dig through her wardrobe to find some left over clothes that does belong to Gwen and throws it towards her. Seeing how Gwen catches them without any problem, she rolls her eyes. And right there is one of the first things that made Skye suspicious, because Gwen didn't use to have those type of reflexes before.

Dropping down on her own bed, she moves closer to the wall so there's room for Gwen beside her. A few minutes later, Skye can feel how Gwen lies down beside him. Nodding Gwen slightly, she turns to her side, she knows she won't get any sleep, because she knows Gwen will be having nightmares and she's going to make sure
