Rubber bands
Surround me
Piles of them
Arranged by color
I knit them together
Until my fingers turn blue and purple
I sit cross legged on my floor
Determined to finish what I started
I knit a rainbow of colors together
Thinking of her
She always reminded me of rainbows
With her bright bubbly personality
But once you thought you had her
She was gone
I spend my hours
Knitting rainbows
Hoping to give them to her
