Silly Bandz
They were almost like a symbol of status
How many you could have on your arm at once
And see how long you'd last
Before succumbing to the loss of circulation
Why did we do that
They were just rubber bands
In neon colors
Some looked vaguely like animals
Why would we purposefully hurt ourselves like that
Looking back
It doesn't make sense
But hey we were kids
We were stupid
And did stupid things
But at least we made the most of it
