*A sequel to The Palmer Pool* Vanessa Brooks, now a high-school senior, hopes to put her time-traveling days behind her, until an opportunity arises to return the favor of a fellow time-traveler stuck in the past. ****** As Vanessa Brooks begins her senior year of high school, she hopes that the routine of life as usual will distract her from her memories of Pete, the boy she fell for and left behind in 1953. Now painfully aware of the risks of traveling to the past, she considers her time-traveling days over, even though she still longs to reunite with Pete. But with Eric Anderson, the only person who knows the truth about where Vanessa disappeared to all summer, keeping an uncomfortably close watch on her, along with her suspicious family and friends, she knows the only place she'll ever see Pete again is in her vivid dreams. When Vanessa accidentally travels from a 1920s themed Halloween party at a local historic mansion to an eerily similar party in the actual 1920s, she reconnects with a fellow time-traveler who needs her help. Vanessa discovers her ability to affect time is even stronger than she thought, and so is her determination to fight for what- and who- she wants. Cover by @JELyrica Content Warning: this story contains alcohol and drug use, and references to near-drowning events, panic attacks and drug overdose.

Mason Forsberg is #12 for the Park Christian Falcons-varsity football, but mostly from the bench. While his best friend Logan Giese racks up highlights and big plays, Mason's stuck watching, tired of the limited snaps and the constant feeling that he's just... overlooked. Around the guys, he's all in-joking, hyping, easy. But around girls? Super shy, words tangled, and a little clumsy-spilling drinks, tripping over compliments, the works. The girls on the volleyball team (according to Makkena "Kenna" Christenson, Logan's girlfriend) see him as the "cute and comedic guy"-endearing in his awkwardness, always good for a laugh. But to Mason, it's just another reason he'll probably never get a real girlfriend. Dating talk now hits different: short answers, forced smiles, quick subject changes, that quiet defeated slump. Then there's Lydia-Kenna's best friend on the volleyball team, kind and sweet, but shy around boys when she's on her own. With Kenna and Siri by her side, though, she lights up-laughing, talking, even teasing a little. Their worlds overlap constantly: post-game hangouts, school nights, group chats. Neither knows how to act when it's just the two of them-awkward silences, stolen glances, both blushing at the smallest things. But in the group, with her friends as backup, Lydia starts to see the guy who's loyal and funny (even when he doesn't mean to be), and Mason starts to wonder if being "cute and clumsy" could actually be enough for someone who gets it. In a small Midwest high school where football Fridays and volleyball seasons collide, two shy people start figuring out that maybe the best connections come from not being perfect... just being real. Clean teen romance | High school sports | Mutual shyness | Cute clumsy guy | Friends-to-more | Feeling overlooked | Small-town vibes | Volleyball & football crossover

This storyline is all about a young black man who struggles to get respect from people he knows until an hallucinogenic freak accident happens. This accident is the result of him gaining abilities no normal human can endure. With how good of a person he's trying to be, he uses these abilities to protect and serve the state of Minnesota. With such power at a very young age, can he serve his purpose? His destiny? Find out by checking this story out for yourself. This story is still in development (I had this story, along with a bunch of other stories I have in my mind since I was 11. So for 8-9 years I wanted to share my stories to people but I'm too nervous to.) so things will change if it doesn't sit right with me. I'm also open to anyone of what I should change in my stories to improve and strengthen it. (as long as the criticism is constructive and not destructive/negative.) The ORIGINAL BERRY story is heavily based on my life at the time I was in middle school. Since this is based my IRL story I have to edit names, places, etc, to prevent privacy from being violated, places I went to are exposed, etc. The story is long, so it will be divided up part after part, kind of like a saga/arc after saga/arc. Like a trilogy. After I complete the sagas, I will divide them into a title. Think of these titles like movies. This story is "teen friendly." (is that even a word?) Meaning that it's PG-13. My story is somewhat light-hearted but it does contain a little content that isn't suitable for everyone. The story contains the following: mild, sometimes strong language, moderate violence, mention of drugs and alcohol, moderate humor, mild dialogue, mild blood. Viewer discretion is advised.
