I go outside through the slide door and take my shoes off, roll my pants leg up and dip my feet in the pool of his large backyard. Just as I start to think Jonah comes in with his regular black clothing. Only difference is his fitted black shirt is a tee and he's actually wearing jeans.

He scans the crowd and spots me. I don't know how, it's dark and the only light is coming from the pool. He walks over and I feel him on the side of me.
I don't look up I just keep looking ahead "So..where you been?"
"Trying to figure out my shit" He responds flatly
Could I really be upset? No, we do the same shit and now someone's just doing it to me
I chuckle at our mental state "Same actually."
"I figured with your whole edibles situation." He says squatting down next to me
"Whatever, that was an accident."
"So your sole intention was to stay sober tonight?" He asks knowingly
"No but it was to get drunk not high." I inform

"Did you really just go there?" I ask trying to hold my laugh in looking at him finally
And we laugh together. I observe his appearance and he didn't look as tired and he didn't have bed head hair, from twisting his hair between his fingers a thousand times. Even though I loved the look it's good to know he's trying and maybe getting better.
"Okay we can go now." I start grabbing my stuff and he tries to help "Alright captain save a hoe, I got it." I say grabbing my stuff from him
"You need to learn how let people care about you." He says as we walk through the slide door
"I though we already talked about this."
"We did but nothing changed since then, especially between us."
I'm in the middle of waving goodbye Grey and Bakari and as soon he says that I freeze
"I feel like you say certain things on purpose, you little shit" I say pointing in his face while we walk down the long driveway
"I guess you'll never know." He smirks pulling my finger down "And pinks a nice color." He says referring to my nail color
"Not today Taylor, not today..." I say shaking my head
He grabs my hand as we walk to his Black 2020 Dodge Charger.
"Where do you want to go?"
"You have to stop asking me shit like that or we'll never come back." I laugh jokingly
"It's not like I'm begging to stay here." He shrugs leaning his head back on the seat
