Alberto pov
My heart raced as I sat down on the bench. My feet tapping against the concrete floor. I continue to look at the train station waiting for them. Luca and Giulia were supposed to be back for spring break. "Don't worry Alberto, they will be here soon," Papa said, putting his hand on my shoulder. I look up at him with a small smile before looking back at the train tracks. Waiting and waiting for what seems to be nothing. I bit my lip as stupid Bruno keep talking to me. "Silenzioso Bruno" I whispered to myself over and over again, closing my eyes. What if they don't come back? What if Luca never comes back? Maybe he likes school more than me. 
My thoughts were interrupted by a loud screech. I quickly looked back up to see a train stop and people were heading out of it. I jumped up as I looked around, my heart racing with excitement. I could soon see some curly red hair and brown hair poking through the crowd. "LUCA GIULIA" I called out to them waving my hands in the air. Footsteps soon ran in my direction making me see an excited Giulia and a very tired Luca. I ran back up to them giving both of them a big hug. "I missed you guys" I said with excitement in my voice. "I miss you too Alberto" Luca said following with a yawn. That's when I noticed some dark circles, not too bad but they were there. "We had a lot of deadlines before spring break with many tests," Giulia said, rubbing the back of her neck. Making me notice that Giulia had the same dark circles that Luca has. Papa grap Giulia's suitcase from her tired arms "let go home then" he said with a smile. I happily agreed, skipping along holding onto Luca's hand. 
It didn't take us long to reach the house and for Giulia to pass out on her bed. "Come on Luca let go" I said looking over at him after putting his things away. He looked over at me taking a second to understand what it said. His eyes were half open and hazy. It seemed like he was just coming out of being zone out. "Yeah sure" he mumbled out rubbing his eyes. There was a part of me that felt bad for making me stay awake but I don't have a lot of time with him either. I grab his hand again and lead him out of the house and into the water. I could feel my skin turn into purple scales and my tail coming back. I looked to see Luca who was now covered in blue and green scales. The scales under his eyes seem to be darker, reminding me of how tired he is. Guilt started to eat me alive as I looked at him. I swimmed up to him with concern. He noticed this right away "I'm okay Alberto just a little tired" he reassured me with a smile. I put my hand on his cheek, making him lean into my touch. Heat builds up to my cheek as I look at his cute face. Butterflies filled my stomach the more I looked at him. "Is everything ok Alberto?" Luca aak soon followed by a yawn slipped through his delicate lips. I quickly pulled away and started rubbing the back of my neck "yeah i'm fine let just get some ice cream" I said quite quickly. Luca looked at me confused for a second before just nodding. I'm not even sure if he understood what I just said heck I was barely unable to understand what I said. I quickly swimmed up the surface Luca following close behind. His bulge and green scales turned into his warm skin tone. His hair puffed up into a dark wavy brown that flowed through the wind. I couldn't help but smile as I watched him words couldn't explain how much I love him. He ran up to me putting his finger through his hair gently.
 He started acting more energetic but his eyes only got heavier. The longer we walked around and got our Icecream the more tired he got. "How about we sit down for a little bit? '' I suggested pointing to a nearby beach. Luca nodded quickly trying his best to look up at me. Grabbing his free hand I dragged him to the beach before sitting down. Luca sat down next to me before zoning out again, almost falling over. Sighing I snap my fingers in front of him making him open his eyes and snap out of it. "Sorry Alberto" Luca mumbled before rubbing his eyes once again. 
I sigh before looking over at the water fountain "it ok Luca as long as you don't use me as a pillow or a teddy bear" I said with a small chuckle. The sounds of children running around and playing filled my ears. To see them kick that small old red ball. Suddenly I felt something land onto my shoulder. I quickly looked over to see Luca had fallen asleep on my shoulder. Heat builds up in my face as I watch him. He looked so peaceful as if nothing in the world could hurt him. My heart felt like it was going to explode. I moved slightly unsure if I wanted him to sleep on me or for him to stay awake. I wanted to hang out and do things again but at the same time he looked so cute when he slept. His eyes slowly opened as he looked up at me. They held such a  mystical wonder something I can't get tired of "I'm sorry Alberto I'm just so tired" Luca said rubbing his eyes once again. Seeing him like this melted my heart "oh screw it" I said, picking Luca up. 
Luca yelped at the sudden movement "A-Alberto" Luca stuttered looking up at me. "Shush now darling, we are just going back home" I said, holding him closer to my chest. Luca didn't say much after that, just looking up at me for a little while, his glaze filled with the need to sleep. I felt his chest rest against my chest and small snore left his lips. 
With every snore that left his delicate lips I only grew closer with him. It feels like I have know him for a life time maybe more. The closer we got to the house the more I realized how lucky I really am. 
I quickly open the door trying not to drop Luca. I was met with Massimo sitting at the table "hey dad" I whispered out to him. I watch as his eyes looked at me then down at Luca only to go back to me. "Be careful" he whispered back with a small smile. I nodded before walking upstairs and into my room. Creaks of the floor followed my footsteps as I walk closer to my bed. 
My blanket was thrown to the side and my pillows were a little mess up. Looking back down at the little angle in my arms I couldn't help but smile. I gently put him down into the bed letting his head rest against my pillow. His amber eyes open just for a second to look at me as I grab the blanket. As I slowly pull the soft blanket over his delicate body his hand weaky grab my wrist. "Can you lay with me" Luca asked letting go of my wrist and backing up making room for me. I bit my lip nervously looking down at him. "Maybe is one time wouldn't hurt" I mumbled to myself before crawling into bed with him. Quickly he warp his arms around me and nuzzled into my chest. My face burst into a bright red color my breath getting a little heavy. "Night" Luca mumbled before falling back asleep. "Night Luca" I said before kissing his forehead and holding him close.
