Chapter 66

Sid was lying on his stomach. Hiding his face in pillow. After sometime. Sm went in Sid's room. She sat beside Sid. Caressing his hair

Sm (softly): Siddharth

He looked up and Sm notice his eyes has tears. Sm smiled knowing Sid is in love. Sid lay on his lap, hugging her waist. Hiding his face in her stomach

Sm: Don't worry Sid. Avneet will be fine. She is strong. She will be fine
Sid (looking at his mother): Mom, yester night I noticed her voice was low and asked her but she said she is fine. Mom why she lied to me? She could have told me nah
Sm (chuckled): Hmm.... She should have told you and let you worry for her. Like now you are worrying

Sid roll his eyes. Someone knocked the door. Sm and Sid looked in direction and saw harsh was standing there. Harsh came inside and laid beside Sid on his mother's lap

Harsh (concerned): Sid you are Okay?
Sid: Hmm bhai
Harsh (patting sid's cheek): Don't worry. Avneet will be fine

Sid nodded. Sm was caressing hair of both. Abhi too came in room

Sid (chuckled): I am fine bhai, don't worry
Abhi (laying on bed, hitting sid's head): I can see that
Sid (smiled): How you both always get to know about me?
Abhi, harsh (rolling eyes): They way you get to know when priya needs you

Abhi and harsh looked at each other and trio chuckled. Sm was looking at bond of her sons. She smiled proudly knowing how strong bond is!

Harsh and Sid moved a bit making space. Sm laid in between Sid and Abhi. Harsh was lying beside sid

Abhi (chuckled): Mom remember when Sid was around 1yr old. Me and harsh used to fight
Sm (patting abhi's head): You both used to kick your dad out of room
Harsh: But Sid's place was fix next to you. Me and bhai used to adjust who will sleep beside you on the other side
Sid: Oh! But when priya came. Madam used to kick 3 of us out of room
Harsh (chuckled): Without any reason we used to get scolding by dad
Abhi: Still he scold us without any reason just bandariya need to say something
Sm: Hmm.... And that's what you are doing Nowadays
Abhi (confused): Me?
Sm: Yes! You were scolding aadi yesterday when he was playing with Arshiya
Abhi (rolling his eyes): Mom that's because your little bandar is so naughty. He wanted to feed chocolate to Arshiya
Sm (chuckled): Acha beta! Don't forgot my little bandar is just like my elder 3 bandars. You 3 were also same
Sid (thinking deeply): Mom?
Sm: Yes Siddharth?
Sid: Mom one thought is stucked in my mind that Avneet's dadi is strict, a bit rude. Like Avneet's life is. Mom whenever avu need someone but never found anyone beside her. How she must be feeling? Remembering the days when me and aadi was alone scares me like hell. I was feeling really helpless and alone and don't know what but mom for only week I faced. Apart from that whenever I feel alone in no time both bhai, anshi, bhabhi, priya comes. Avu always feel like that mom
Sm: Hmm..... Sid beta for any relation love, scolding, care, trust, understanding, restrictions and everything is needed. Like to grow a plant air, water, sunlight, soil and everything is necessary. So she definitely felt alone. You don't worry. When she will come here. We all will love her, care her, scold her, support her and complete all the emptiness of her life

Sid smiled

Abhi: Mom, I am thinking how her feet burnt like that?
Sm (sighed): Maybe because of some superstition

Abhi, harsh, sid looked at sm with shock

Sid (shocked): Means?
Sm (sighed): You don't know about it as our family never believed on these things. So you never experienced anything like this but superstition exist in India. The person who believes on superstition can go to any extent just to complete that ritual, believe or punishment. Like walking on burnt coal, lying on ice cube, blind walk in this person need to tie black cloth on eyes and have to perform everything like daily schedule without anyone's help, Walk barefoot on glass pieces, sleep on thrones and many more
Sid (shocked): All these really exist?
Sm: Yes bacha. When I was in 11th. I was attempting board exam. My one friend was also there. She came school with black cloth on eyes. She couldn't wrote exam and got failed in board
Harsh: Wait a second! How she can write exam with blindfold? She don't even know what question is written in paper. Somehow she will manage to write exam but for that she need to know the question
Sm: I know but she was blindfold. She came for exam alone and reached late for 10mins. Her knees was bleeding, arms was bleeding. Somehow she managed to come but couldn't attempt exam
Abhi: But why she couldn't remove blindfold at the time of exam?
Sm: That time everyone was orthodox. Even our teachers. Avneet's dadi was also from that age. She is probably the age of your grandparents and my teachers and heads

(FUN FACT: After Independence, means the age of our grandparents school life. They used to attempt board exam in 11th class only. Not in 10th and 12th. Our grand parents and parents of some are from that period from 1947 to 1975. Period of orthodox India. Some changed thinking as per time. Some couldn't)

Sid's mom is also born in orthodox India

Sid (irritated): We should throw such thinking and person out of society
Sm (chuckled): Abhi, Harsh, you both have to go for Aadi and Arshiya's vaccination. Why you both are vaccinating your kids?
Abhi (confused): Mom that's because it's good for them. In future this will help them to be strong and fight from disease
Sm: Hmm..... But beta didn't you saw how our cheerful and naughty aadi get fever and weak when he get vaccinated. Harsh, arshiya is so small to bear such pain beta
Harsh: But mom that's for day or two. In those days we will take more care of Arshiya. This will be good for them in future
Sm: Okay! Means you will let your child get pain and fell sick as it's good for future?
Abhi: Ofcourse mom
Sm: Sid, do you think they are right?
Sid: Yeah mom! It's for better health of both kids. They will be strong
Sm: Alright! If Abhi and Harsh will let their child cry in pain for better future it's good and same avneet's dadi did. You want to throw her out of society, why so partiality?
Sid (confused): Mom, this is not partiality. I am just stating fact. What avneet's dadi did was wrong. If she did this for superstition. Tell me one thing. Suppose I lost my both the kidneys. Now you all tried alot but couldn't found matching kidney. What you will do? Will you let me die?
Harsh: Mom, what you are saying?
Sm: Tell me bacha
Abhi: We can do anyting to save you
Sm: Anything like? If someone asked you to beg? Will you
Sid: Ofcourse if it's needed
Sm: Someone will ask you to do something stupidy like walking on burning coal or lying on ice?
Abhi: Yaa mom
Sm: But that's wrong beta
Abhi: Nothing is more important than you. Pain will be for few days not lifetime
Sm: But Anyways I have to die in future
Sid (coldly): Mommmm
Sm: Sid if you can do these things for my future then what's wrong avni's dadi did? She too tried to make avu's future bright. Bacha they are from the time of India and Pakistan's separation. You know that time both India and Pakistan was one country but suddenly they got separate. Hindus threw muslims out of India. Muslims threw Hindus out of Pakistan. In all this they people who had banglow and happy life in one country suddenly shifted to other country without anything. Some underground themselves to collect their gold and money. Some died. Some couldn't took anything. These banglow, buildings, malls, and whatever is in surrounding now wasn't there anything. Only few house that too not strong and mostly everywhere was land only. People started living on land without roofs. Some lost family. Some lost everything. There was no hope, no luck to say. Only prayers and hardwork. That time when people don't had anything they were suffering alot. Already world war, old thinking, foreign peoples alot things were to face. Lack of money was main issue in every country. Already superstition was everywhere in India that time. Hardly few people don't believe on such things. That's why Indian do believe on superstition still

Sid nodded hugging her. Sm hug him back. Abhi and harsh joined them

Sm: After office we will go to meet Avneet
Sid: I love you mom
Sm: I love you all
