"Yoongi-ah! I'm back home" I said, opening the main door of the house.
As usual, I got no reply. Being a final year medical student, Yoongi used to keep himself locked in his room for most of the time, far away from any human interaction.
Yoongi was in the same college where I was working as a doctor. I clearly remembered waking up Yoongi for the college that day but when I went there, one of his professors informed me that he hadn't come.
He wasn't the type of student to miss classes for any lame reason. He must have wanted to study at home, I thought at that time and didn't pay much heed to it.
Now that I was home, I decided to ask him about the same over coffee. I changed my clothes and went to the kitchen to prepare two cups for us.
"Yoongi-ah! Open the door. I've got your coffee" I shouted while knocking at the door. Still, there was no answer.
This was kind of strange. Normally, he'd hastily unlock the door, grab his cup and jump onto the bed.
"Yoon-"
Then I heard feeble sniffling sounds, probably coming from Yoongi's room. As I brought my ear against the door, the sounds got clearer.
"Hey, are you there?" I said, turning the doorknob to check if it was locked or not. To my surprise, the door actually opened.
As I stepped inside, I looked around the room to see where he was.
"Yoongi, where are you? Why are you not answering?"
Following the crying sounds, I walked towards his closet near the left side of the bed.
"What's wrong Yoongi? Why are you hiding here? Is everything okay?" I asked politely, tapping on the wooden door.
"Yoongi ish not hewe!" he cried from inside.
His babyish tone was enough for me to realise that he had slipped into littlespace. It wasn't my first time with little Yoongi, so I knew well how to handle him.
"Why is my baby crying~?" I cooed.
"Me no cwying!" he whimpered, not ready to come out.
"Atleast come out from there. Hyungie will give you yum-yum if you obey me" I said, thinking that he'd give in to snacks.
"No...."
"But why baby~ Did someone say anything to you?"
"N-no... Me dunn' wann' come out."
"Don't you wanna talk to your hyungie?"
"No.... Yoo will punish Yoon'ie...." he quavered.
Why would I punish him, I thought. I wasn't really a strict caregiver, except for a couple of times when I had to punish him for being a bit too much naughty.
As he seemed too scared, I cooed, "Baby~ why would I punish you, hm?"
"B-becawse... Yoon'ie wa' bad boy... Yoo will punish yoon'ie..."
The way he was extremely fearful of me, it seemed quite evident that he had made a big blunder.
Since my priority was to get him out, I assured him that I won't punish him.
