I'm posting this chapter in support of LGBTQA+ and Pride Month.

Please note that Taehyung and Jungkook in this oneshot are just fictional characters and it is in no way related to the member's real life. I'm not commenting on the actual BTS member's  sexual orientation and nobody has the right to interfere in their personal life. And I don't own BTS members.

🏳️‍🌈Happy Pride Month Everyone🏳️‍🌈

Tw: mention of self harm scars, lgbtq hate speech and discrimination.

As the clock struck twelve, the playlist of soothing music came to an end, followed by a creepy tune marking the beginning of "The Midnight Chills". Taehyung hadn't listened to any of the previously played songs on radio, but the eerie theme song caught his attention and he turned off the volume.

The ten minutes of drive to home was silent as ever, rain drops falling on his car being the only sound that filled his ears. He didn't tuned in to the other radio channel he knew was sure to play the songs he liked. He didn't hum any of his favourites either, just wishing to reach home as soon as possible.

"You are a... queer..?"

"Shall I call you Mr. Or Mrs.?"

"I saw some pictures on your social account. What's your spouse's gender?"

"Sorry Mr. Kim. Only men can apply for this post."

"Argh... Stop!" he pulled over outside his house, hands tightly clenched around the steering wheel. The windshield wiper kept moving from side to side to clear the raindrops however, the tears had blurred his vision.

He unfastened his seat belt, opened the car door and stepped outside, unbothered by his new formals wetting out.

He looked at the night sky surrounded by dark clouds and felt the cold drops of water falling on his bare face, sending chills down his spine. He took a deep breath and let the warm tears of shame and hatred roll down his cheeks along with cold raindrops.

His knees gave in too, as he sat there on the ground like a miserable human waiting for a miracle to take him far away from despair and melancholy. He was drenched to skin, letting the darkness consume his broken core.

"Is there... Is there any end of it...?"

Taehyung and Jungkook emigrated from South Korea to the US a decade ago. They met as classmates and became best of friends in their freshman year. From being condemned for their culture and nationality to sexual orientation, they had faced every word of hatred and discrimination together.

It started as a friendship but eventually, they couldn't help falling in love with each other.

Fighting all odds and disapprovals, they knotted ties an year ago after dating for five years.

The neighbourhood, coworkers, families and relatives, everybody looked down upon them with a few exceptions. Some people would cherish their bond while others didn't have a heart to accept them. They always tried to look on the bright side anyways.

But again, they were humans. There were days when people would comment something so malicious and apathetic that they were hard to let go, forcing them to question their existence.

Am I at fault?

He never dared to post his pictures with Jungkook on social media before getting married. It was Jungkook who encouraged him to do whatsoever he wanted to without fearing judgements. Marrying Jungkook was the best decision of his life, he believed strongly for he had never felt so confident and happy with himself.
