It had been two days since the meeting. Sam sits on their bed scribbling quickly on a piece of paper. Ben walk in.
"Hey Sam." He says
"Hi Ben." Says Sam not looking up.
"Is everything ok?" He asks moving slowly closer.
"No, The Virgos where attacked by the Scorpios." They say.
"Oh my god, how many survivors?" He asks.
"At most six hundred." Says Sam placing their quill down and folding the paper.
"Oh. Is Charlotte ok?"
"She's holding up."
"Good."
The silence grows as does the awkwardness.
"Isn't tomorrow the day you meet with all the zodiacs?"
"It is."
"That's good."
Sam groans, fed up of his simple answers consisting of 'Good'.
"What do you want Ben?"
Every since Julie told him how Sam felt, he had been avoiding talking to them. Eventually he had convinced himself he needed to say something.
"You've been avoiding me for two days, did I do something?" Sam asks bringing Ben back to earth.
"Yes-I mean No-I mean, I just, I have something I need to talk to you about."
Sam sits and ushers him to do the same.
"Go on, I'm listening."
Ben coughs.
"Well, uh, that night, at the pink lagoon, I uh, Julie told me something about, you, and me, and..."
He looks at Sam who is looking very confused.
"Oh what the hell..."
He leans in and kisses Sam. They fall into it, but quickly push away.
"What was that?!"
Ben begins to panic. He jumps up from the bed.
"I'm sorry it's just, Julie said you loved me and well, I've realised I love you too and I want to be with you Sam, all I've ever wanted is to be with you."
He looks at Sam who's mouth is open slightly in shock. Ben pants.
"Oh my god." He says.
"Ben, come here."
Ben slowly walks over to Sam. They stroke down his jaw and reach his tie. They pull him in and they fall into a deep kiss, falling backwards onto the bed.
*** Later that evening a nock is heard on Sams door.
From the bed lays Sam, they sit up quickly, their body covered by the covers. They look over at Ben's sweet face sleeping in the bed. They smile at his little snores before leaping out of bed and throwing on their trousers and a shirt. They open the door to Julie.
"Hey you." She smiles inviting herself in.
"Please, come in." Says Sam sarcastically.
"Has Ben spoke to you, he had wimped out of it multiple times." Says Julie sitting down on Sam's sofa.
"Well..." The sound of the bedroom door sounds.
"Hey love, where did you g-" He walks into the room in shorts, his hair is messy and his shirt is evidently off. Julie looks from Sam to Ben, from Ben to Sam. Her eye widen and her mouth drops.
"Oh my god!" She shouts standing up.
"Shhhh, Julie you can't tell anyone yet." Says Sam.
"Finally Benny boy grew a pair and told you." She laughs and slaps Ben's shoulder, he coughs and sits down.
"What time is it?"
"Three o'clock." Says Julie.
"What!" Ben and Sam shout in unison.
"We slept in that long?"
"Apparently we did." Says Sam fluffing their hair by running their hand through it.
"Oh and it's been three days since we met the Virgos." Julie shouts from the kitchen; helping herself to a cup of tea.
"Time flies by when your having fun." Smirks Ben, Sam turns bright red.
"Have you had anything back from our allies?" Asks Julie.
"They've all agreed to meet us."
"I figured so, but how do we know their not spies?"
Julie emerges sipping a cup of tea.
"We don't." Says Sam, suddenly feeling less excited about this.
"But we all want the same thing, we just have to get along." Sam adds.
"Yeah, it's a shame Harriet is a twisted little turd who decided that what the Scorpios where doing was right." Says Julie, gulping down more of the freshly brewed tea.
"She would have made a good ally." Ben says yawing soon after.
"We haven't lost her yet, there is still hope to get the Aires back on our side." Sam cheerfully says.
"What about Libra and Cancer, have we contacted them?" Asks Ben.
"Me and Charlotte have tried multiple times, but we've never had a reply." Says Sam their voice dipping again.
"Of course you haven't, you know I still don't like that Charlotte girl. She knows to much." Rants Julie.
"Your just jealous she came up with the plan and you didn't." Taunted Ben causing Julie to mimic him.
"Come on Sam, you need to get ready to leave, don't worry, your man will be fine." Says Julie winking before leaving the room.
Sam follows her but Ben pulls her arm.
"Good luck my love." He says pulling Sam into another kiss. This one was different, it had less passion, it was like a promise, a promise that Sam would return safely. And that was one they would always make.
