📜The plan📜

They all sit in a circle. Violet has taken a seat between Charlotte and Julie. Blaize next to Ben and Sam the other side opposite Charlotte. From her pocket, she carefully takes a piece of paper neatly folded.

"What's that?"
Asks Sam.

"The plan."
Replies Charlotte.

Julie giggles. Everyone turns to look at her.

"C'mon you can't tell me that isn't funny, she needed to write it down."
She continues to giggle while the others roll their eyes.

The paper opens revealing the neat handwriting of Charlotte's. She breaths out and looks up.

"As you all know, the Scorpios annual ball to sign the peace treaty is coming up in about a fortnight."

Everyone nods and continues watching.

"What if we didn't sign it?"

Everyone raises their eyebrows.

"Defying them in their own home, we'd be out numbered, but nice try."
Says Julie once again.

"I mean, not necessarily, with the slaves, the prisoners, and however many of the other clans we can get to stand by us, it might be about. 60-40."
Says Ben fiddling with his thumbs the entire time. Julie shoots him a glare and he coughs and looks down.

"I don't like those odds."
Says Julie crossing her arms, Violet is quick to copy.

"By not signing, that would start a chain reaction of events we all know are well on their way."
Charlotte says.

"So you want us to turn up to a forced party full of the enemy, defy them in their territory and then what? Escape easily?"
Says Julie the sound of disgust visible in her words.

"Break some shit while your there."
Replies Charlotte.

"It's a suicide mission Charlotte!"
She shouts back.

"We'll do you have a better idea!"
Charlotte shouts back.

"A four year old could have a better idea than that!"
Retaliates Julie.

The two strong females continue shouting at each other.

"Uh-guys."
Says Sam quietly.

"Guys?"
They say again.

Blaize looks at them trying to get their attention and coughs.

"SHUT THE HELL UP!"
She booms, her voice echoing around the vast cavern. She smiles at Sam who mouths 'thank you' to her.

"I've been reading into the ancient times, back to the days with the first 12 zodiacs."
Says Sam, Charlotte and Julie looking in confusion.

"Apparently, back in the days of old four of them were able to control their element."

"They had powers!?"
Says Violet sitting forward.

"They did, and some of us could have them too."
Sam replies leaning forward too.

"That awesome."
Violet says excited.

"What makes you think we could have those too?"
Julie says, confused with her own leader.

Charlotte looks shocked as the realisation sinks in.
