12 || What Are You Doing?

Maddies POV

I just stared at him back at my mum

"Why is he here" I shouted

"Maddie please sit down and talk" he asked

"No dad or should I even call you that"

"Maddie" my mum shouted

I picked up my bag and ran upstairs to my room I locked my bedroom door and cried into my pillow

I was tempted to text Brad to ask him if I could come round but then he would ask why and I told him that my dad left and never came back I never said that he was in jail

- A Few Weeks Later -

I waited by the corner for Brad like I normally do after school

I waited a couple of minutes until I saw him walking down the road

"Hey" he smiled

"Hey" I smiled back "do you still wanna come round mine?"

"Of course I do" he smiled "wanna listen to the neighbourhood?"

"Sure" I smiled

We listened to music all the way home it was full with laughter, singing and trying to keep the headphones in our ears

We got to my house and paused the music we walked in to see my dad on the sofa laid back watching tv. I hadn't seen him since the night I had a go at him

"Who's he?" Brad whispered to me

"What are you doing here? Where's mum?"

"She's food shopping and she invited me here"

"Where have you been staying since?"

"A friends house" he paused "who's this boy? Is he your boy friend because if he is-"

"Dad!" I shouted

"Dad?" Brad just looked at me confused

"He's not my boyfriend if you stayed you might of known that" I shouted at my dad not replying to Brad

"It's not my fault I couldn't stay" he shouted back at me

"If you didn't do something stupid you might not of ended up in jail"

Brad looked at me even more shocked

"I was trying to help you and your mum"

"By stealing! You knew you would end up in trouble and you just made our lives harder"

"This is why I'm here to help you and your mum and make your lives easier"

"Easier! you've been here for a few weeks and you've already messed our lives up even more"

I stormed out of the house

"Maddie wait!" Brad shouted I stopped

"Can I go round yours? I don't want to be with him" I cried

"Of course"

We went back to Brads house and Brads mum came to the door

"Mum can Maddie come round, family problems" Brad asked as I just tried to smile

"Of course she can darling, come in" she smiled

I love Brads mum she is the one of the sweetest people you will ever meet

Brad lead me to the bedroom....

He shut the door behind him and sat next to me on the bed

"Are you going to tell me what just happened?"

"Ok you know I told you that my dad left me when I was younger" I paused as he nodded "well I told everyone that but he actually went to jail for theft"

"And you were going to tell me this when?" Brad asked

"I don't know I kind of just blocked everything to do with him out if my life" I sighed

"So why is he back?"

"He got released" I paused "remember the day we went shopping in the holidays?"

"Yeah"

"Well when I got home he was there, I knew he was getting released a few days before but I told my mum I didn't want him to come back and she obviously decided she knew best and I got back and he was there, I had a go at him and ran upstairs and since then I hadn't seen him until today"

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked moving closer to me

"I didn't want to worry you with my problems" I sighed looking down at his bed sheets trying to avoid those big chestnut eyes

"Maddie I could of helped"

"I don't want help" I snapped

It went silent. No one said a word

"Are you angry with me?" I asked still not looking up

He got his two fingers and put them under my chin to lift it up to eye level

"How could I be angry with you"

I stared into his eyes

He stared into my eyes for a few seconds until his eyes traveled to my lips and back up to my eyes before he smashed his lips to mine

At first I was confused what do I do? Kiss him back or separate from his lips?

I then started kissing back as I moved my hands to the back of his neck as I started messing with his curls as the kiss got deeper

I then heard to door open as brad quickly took his lips off mine and looked behind him

"Tristan!" Brad said surprised

"What are you doing?" He shouted
