vals POV

today was the funeral i was fixing lee's tie. i smiled cause he looked nice. i finished my slight makeup and put my shoes on. i took a deep breath before walking out of the room.

we stopped for breakfast and ate in the car. i texted her mom to see where she was so i could walk in with her and sit with her.

they we are waiting outside so i walked from where they were and hugged her.

she shook lee's hand as she continued to talk to some of mars cousins. i was gonna sit with her sister since she was right her.

"you doing okay" i asked

"better today will be closure" she said grabbing my hand.

i shook my head agreeing we started to walk in. i really didn't have the mental for this right now. but she was closer to other people and they still made it. but it's hard knowing i was apart of the reason.

lee rubbed my shoulder. i'm so glad he was here to support me.

i walked up to the casket with lee and mar sister. i immediately started to break down. but she looked very good. i wiped my tears and we sat down. my legs started to shake. as i cried into lees chest. he rubbed my back.

"i'm sorry love" he said giving me a tissue.

i used it and then the service started.

later on after the burial we were going to eat.

her service was very nice. i fixed me and lee's food and then sat down. i can tell her mom and aunt cooked.

"i need you to take me back to dave's house i needa do something" i said

lee's POV

i stopped mid bite and looked at her funny.

"why" i said swallowing hard

i would have to to tell her soon.

"i just said i need to do something so hurry up and eat" she said going to get more drink and fix to go plates

i sighed and continued to eat and she handed me my drink back. i three my stuff away and sat back down.

"you ready" she said

i shook my head yes and we left out. i started to drive that way to make it look obvious but i started making wrong turns to get back home.

"lee" she said

"yes" i said

"what are you doing" she said

"just driving" i said

"i told you i needed to do something"

"and what do you think that is" i asked her

"i know he was behind this i have to do something i'm not letting mar not get her justice" she said screaming at me

"bae calm dow"

"bo it's not fair let me do what i need to do" she said crying

"i already did it" i said getting loud with her

"what" she said

"yea he was in florida and i took matters into my
own hands he's dealt with he's dead he not gon mess with you no more" i said loosing up my tie and throwing it in the back seat

she stared at me. i was scared i didn't know what this look meant at all. she slowly turned her head and looked out the window

"i need you to say something" i said breaking the silence

"thank you" she said

"it's nothing i'm proud of but it had to be done regardless"

"but this is only gonna get worse ... he has people-"

"yes i know how all that works they dealt with too you don't trust me or something" i said

"i do but i just can't risk any one else's life" she said crying

"baby your not okay we've made it this far i swear nothings gonna get in our way. you gotta stay strong for me and ima stay strong for you and we'll succeed for each other i promise" i said

she looked up at me and i wiped her tears.

"i love you so much and we not giving up now okay"

she shook her head up and down "i love you too"

i smiled and held her hand as we drove home. we went inside and washed and ordered sum food and just laid in bed. until it was time to leave.
