Lev's POV:
It had been a little over half an hour now.
Yaku-san was still sleeping peacefully in my arms, a gentle ray of sunshine reaching him. The sky had cleared up, the dark clouds parting to give way to the sun. The thunder and lightning had stopped too, and the harsh wind we experienced just now had now been reduced to a kinder one.
I gently brushed his hair, trying to get him to slowly wake up. The smaller boy only nuzzled his face deeper into my chest.
Does he even know what he's doing...? Ahh this is really embarrassing. I couldn't help but smile a little as my cheeks warmed up."Yaku-san, it stopped raining. You have to wake up." I spoke quietly, leaning in a little closer.
Then, slowly I felt a little movement.
Ah, he's finally stirring awake. I shifted myself slightly to give him more space to stretch.
He raised his head a little, stretching his arms- only for them to hit my jaw awkwardly."Aa-" I let out a small sound in surprise.
Yaku opened his eyes, startled. He quickly drew back his arms as he looked at me. Is this the part where he yells at me for being so close to him? Will he go back to being mean to me again? I looked away, feeling a tinge of sadness.
"Oh Yaku-san, you're awake. I um-"
"I'm sorry." He blurted out.
I shifted my gaze back to him, surprised and confused.
"I-I'm sorry for um...falling asleep on you like that, I don't think it's very respectful considering I'm your senpai." He mumbled, breaking our eye contact. He crawled off my lap, sitting back next to me. "But...I do have to say thank you for letting me....hug..you just now when I was cold.." He hesitantly added in a softer tone.
Oh. This isn't so bad.
"It's completely fine! I don't mind at all, and besides you kinda looked cute just now-" I clasped my hand over my mouth before I accidentally said any more words. Yaku-san immediately looked back at me, startled.
Is he...is he blushing?
Or is that just the sun shining on his face?"I'm sorry!" I buried my face in my hands, physically cringing as I swore at myself internally for letting myself slip up like that. Why do I get so flustered around him? I'm normally a very blunt and honest person but why is it so hard to keep myself under check when I'm with Yaku-san? Is it because he's my senpai?
To my surprise, he laughed at me- not in a mocking or humiliating way, but a genuine laughter that radiated joy.
"Levv!! You idiot stop being so flustered- it isn't like you at all!" He slapped me on my shoulder, laughing more. I watched him as he wiped a tear from his eye, covering his smile as he chuckled more. "It's so funny to see you like this, Lev. I like this side of you!"
He...likes me?
No no I'm probably imagining it- he doesn't mean it in that way~"Yaku-san do you like guys?" I said out of the blue.
And now Yaku-san had every right to call me an idiot. Oh Lev, you screwed up badly this time.
There was no taking back my words now. I tried to console myself, thinking, well we may not have known each other for very long but I don't think it's strange to ask the other person's sexuality this early? Or am I just saying this to make myself feel better at my embarrassing question?
