"So it's quite possible they even hate her?" Katie asked.

"Yeah, sure, hell I do."

"That's good information, Georgie. You just earned yourself a hundred dollars."

Georgie's eyes widened. "Seriously?"

"Seriously," said Katie. "You wanna earn another hundred?"

"You bet!" he said enthusiastically.

"Tell me how I can get in touch with them away from the bitch."

Georgie started shaking his leg nervously. "Aw man," he said. "That's not.. I mean that's a lot to ask. She'll kill me."

"Well see Georgie, she's not gonna kill you, because I'm gonna kill her first. And then you won't have to worry none about looking over your shoulder. Plus, I'll put in a good word about you to Crowley. So what do you say?"

"Wow, yeah, that sounds great. So what do you want me to do?"

"Well right now, I just need some more information. Like how does a demon go about putting out the word that they are looking to hire demons like you?

"There are demon brokers. So like I go there and I ask if anyone's hiring, and she was, so I took the job."

"Do any humans ever hire demons?"

"Sure, but they are usually filthy rich folks who deal on the wrong side of the human law."

"Say I wanted to hire one?" Katie asked. "How would I go about it?"

Georgie filled Katie in on what he knew about the underworld of demons and how they operated topside. It turned out that Lilitu's headquarters were right here in Lebanon Kansas, the geological center of the continental United States. That wasn't why it was here though, Lilitu set up shop here because she had discovered where the boys' bunker was. Most likely the site was chosen by the original men of letters exactly for it's geological centrality.

The closest demon brokers were in Lincoln, Nebraska and Topeka Kansas. Georgie told Katie how to find them. The one in Lincoln was the one Lilitu had used to find her followers, which was good because it was a bit shorter drive.

"You just earned yourself another hundred, Georgie, assuming your intel is straight."

"It is."

"Good then," Katie said, standing up. "I know it's boring in here, I could get you some books or something."

"Some comics might be cool," he said.

"Let me guess," she said, "Superheroes?"

"Of course," he answered, smiling.

Sam and Dean

They got to Jorn's house with no incident. The door was opened immediately by a very old Water elf, who Burnie introduced as Jorn himself. He walked very slowly, using a cane. A plump female Fire elf about the same age was laying out some food on a low table, and a younger Air elf with yellow hair was also present. This was Jornel, Jorn's son, and his wife's name was Madda. After all introductions were made, everyone took seats in chairs and couches surrounding the food table.

Jorn started things off by welcoming the Chosen Ones to his home, and added how proud he was to have this event happen in his lifetime. "Now my boy will be free to do as he wishes, and won't have to be tied down with this task any longer," he said, his voice shaky with age. "That is, of course, assuming you two are successful." He shook his head a bit and continued. "Trouble is, we may have a hard time finding the one that's been left here."
