09 : honesty

hwayoung couldn't sleep that night. she kept thinking about what happened earlier at school. she was thinking of telling serim about it

she open her bedroom door and went to serim's room. she knock the door first "oppa.. can i come in?" she asked for permission

"yes come in, the door isn't locked"

she entered his room and sit on the side of his bed. "what is it? is something wrong?" he asked and sit up.

"wonjin came to school this morning"

"was he looking for me?"

"no. but.. "

"hey tell me. what's going on?"

"he said, one day i will be his to keep. that means he's gonna ask mum and dad for hands in marriage?"

"maybe he was joking.. "

"no! i swear he tried to do something with me. luckily minhee was there!"

"okay calm down.. " he pulled her into his embrace,trying to comfort her "i'll talk to him. you should go to sleep"

she left his room and went to her room. she threw herself on the bed and quickly fell asleep

"hwayoung.. where's minhee?" aecha asked, sipping her bubble tea

"he's been very busy with his family lately but i don't mind"

"hello everyone!" hyeongjun shouted as he sat at our table. we were hanging out at a cafe

"where have you been?" heejin asked

"went to see minhee at the-" youngtae immediately closed his mouth using his hands

"what? where is he?!"

"where is who?" youngtae asked

"stop pretending. where. is. kang. minhee?"

"McDonald's restaurant near the bank in town" seongmin explained

"text me the location. now!" she picked up her bag and quickly left

"hyeongjun, i love you but what the fish?!" heejin scolded him

"im sorry!"

hwayoung asked the uber driver to stop in front of a McDonald's restaurant. she was sure it was the location hyeongjun send him

she peeked inside through the big glass door and hyeongjun was right. there he was. kang minhee in his uniform, serving customers at the counter

the last customer already took his order and the area was clear so she walked towards him

"hello welcome to-"

"can we talk?"

we went outside the restaurant and sat at the parking lot

"why didn't you tell me?!"

"i don't know how to.." he looked down

"what happened? explain"

"im having problems lately and i don't want you to be worried" he cried

she wiped his tears with her sleeves. "problems? what problems?"

"my parents divorced and im working so i won't have to ask money from my brother or mum"

"i- im sorry... "

"it's okay. it's not your fault"

"hey.. i know you're suffering but you're not alone, okay? you can't keep it all inside. next time you're having problems just talk to me"

"thank you hwayoung" he laid his head on her shoulder and hugged her arms
