[ basketball practice, the next day ]

she had no extra classes or evening activities so hwayoung decided to go to the basketball court. she didn't tell minhee because she wanted to surprise him
she saw him from afar and slowly approached him. "minhee!" she tapped his shoulder

he flinched before turning around "hwayoung! im so happy you came" he patted her head

"i'll go sit over there, okay?" she pointed at a bench beside the court

the game started and her eyes were focused on minhee. his wet and messy hair, sweat rolling down his face. perfect body proportions. half of the reason why she admires him

"hwayoung?" someone called her name

"wonjin sunbae. hello" she bowed politely

"here to watch us play?" he asked and sit beside her

"yes" she replied

ham wonjin is serim's friend. they rarely see each other but still comfortable cause she known him for years. but nonetheless she never had feelings for him

minhee's pov

"what is he doing here?" he mumbled to himself when he saw wonjin with hwayoung

"minhee! watch out!" his teammate shouted

he didn't get to dodge the ball that was speeding towards him

"minhee!"

hwayoung's pov

they heard a loud thud sound and glanced at the court. a group of people are gathered in the middle, surrounding someone

"hey what's going on?" she asked as she approached them

"minhee's injured" serim replied with a worried look on his face

"let me help you" she hold his hands and he slowly got up

"minhee.. im really sorry. i didn't mean to" youngtae apologised

"it's not your fault. i wasn't focusing" he smiled in pain

"let's go to the clinic" one of her hands was holding his waist and the other one hold his hands

"good evening mrs lee" she greeted
can you help him? he got hit by a basketball" i explained when we entered the clinic and the nurse quickly treated his nose

"next time be careful" she advised. we said thank you and left

he went to change his clothes while she waited for him at the gate. "what are you doing here?" asked a person from behind and she know who it is

"waiting for you. wanna go home together?"

"no. you go with serim. i need to stop by somewhere. goodbye" he walked away and left her there dumbfounded

'did i do something wrong?' she thought to herself. she was left alone and waited for serim at the same spot

"hey, where's minhee?" serim showed up suddenly

"he already left. he said he had to stop by somewhere"

"huh? what happened?"

"i have no idea.. " she muttered

that night after dinner, she wanted to text him before falling asleep

"why is this so awkward huhu *sobs
maybe he's tired from practice just now" she didn't wanna think about it so she turned of her phone and dozed off
