Chapter 6

Sean ran up behind me, and held my arm, I pulled away
"Leave me alone." I muttered as I kept walking forward.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you." He said as he followed me
I kept walking never looking back, I arrived at my house and walked through the door, Ariana and Jai were sitting on the couch, when I stormed in.
"Meghan what the?" Ariana said as she ran over to me. I pulled away.
"It's nothing." I muttered
"It's something." Jai said as he walked over, and reached out to pull my arm away from my nose.
"I'm fine." I said, walking upstairs, and slammed my bedroom door. I heard footsteps coming up to my room, I went into the washroom and got a tissue and cleaned myself up, I walked back out into the main part of my room to see Sean, Ariana, Jai and Randy sitting on my couch. I smirked
"What is this a support group?"
They looked at me, Randy smiled and I turned away facing my back to them, as I walked out onto my porch. The fresh breeze blowing my long brown hair. I looked out onto the view when a arm wrapped around my waist. I looked to my right to see who it was, it was Sean.
"What do you want?" I whispered.
"What's wrong?" He asked, softly.
"Nothing." I whispered again.
"You can't lie." He said.
I pulled away, and walked back inside and announced,
"I'm going to sleep, so could you please get out?"
They started to get out, but Ariana stayed, and came up to me,
"Is this about your birthday tomorrow?" she asked
"No." I snapped
She put her hands up "in surrender"
"I was just asking." she said, and turned and walked out closing the door behind her.
I woke up the next morning and got dressed, did my make-up and walked downstairs, Ariana was making bagels. I got my bag and went to walk out the door.
"Where are you going?" she asked
"To school." I said.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" Jai and Ariana yelled.
I smiled and looked at them, today was my 14 birthday
"You remembered?" I asked, astonished.
"Of course we did, silly!" Jai said.
I smiled and they both gave me hugs, and then Ariana pointed to a huge table of presents
"Those are from us, you can open them after school, but then we have your party tomorrow." she said, smiling.
I smiled and walked out the door, and started walking to school. I arrived at school and went to my first period class, I had English first period. I walked into class, to see Sean sitting with an empty spot next to him, I walked over and sat down
"Hi" he said, smiling.
I just kept looking forward, then the bell rang for second period, then for third period and finally it rang for lunch. I went to the cafe to see an empty spot next to Sean, with his football friends. I choose to sit with Julian. I went and sat down, and Julian was to engrossed in his book to recognize I had sat down. I pulled out my phone, I had 1 text from 10 seconds ago. I read it
'Why aren't you talking to me?' It was from Sean. I found him in the crowd, he looked at me and smiled, I quickly looked away. I turned off my phone, and got up and walked outside to the bleachers. It was quiet, just the sound of nature, until someone plopped down beside me.
"Did I do something to upset you?" Sean asked.
"No." I replied
"Then why aren't you talking to me?"
"We're talking right now."
"You know what I mean." Sean smirked.
I looked away, put his finger found its way to my chin and he turned my face to look at his. Then I did something I thought I'd never do, I kissed Sean, the Captain of a Football team. I kept thinking, this is so much like a god damn movie, new girl/cheerleader, ends up with Captain of the Football team. I smiled.
"That's more like it." he smiled.
We walked back into the cafe holding hands, and Sean lead me over to the "football" table. I sat down next to Sean.
"So this is the famous Meghan Grande, American Sweetheart." one said. I smiled and looked at Sean who just smiled back. Randy was also at the table. He smiled at me, but I pretended I didn't notice him there. Overall it was a great lunch.
