TW // blood, slight gore

Dream was hot.

Temperature was a novel thing in minecraft, but I guess what do you expect when you're going to hell?

They went through the portal together. The first thing Dream felt was a wave of sweltering heat. It made his eyes water; he almost wanted to go back to the Overworld just to breathe fresh air again, but he endured it and it became slightly easier to bear after a minute.

The portal travel was nauseating: it felt like the world was swimming around you and then it dumped you somewhere else with weak legs and wavy vision.

He got out of the purple mess, but the shoopwhoopdooop of the portal was still very loud behind him. His feet met Netherrack and he looked out over fiery Minecraft hell.

The first thing he thought was that it was certainly 1.16. Blue trees and spongy blue moss lay immediately across the boiling lava pit directly in front of them.
They were lucky enough to not spawn above the lava pit, or have a welcome party of piglins and hoglins. But they weren't lucky enough to spawn on or next to a fortress.

"This is already irritating," George was the first to speak. "I wish we could go back to not feeling anything so I'm not hot."

"Awww Gogy but I love how hot you are," Sapnap said thirstily.

Only now did it occur to Dream to take off his sweater as he and George simultaneously rolled their eyes. Actually none of them had been able to interact or change their clothes at the beginning of the game and they had quickly accepted that, but now that was just one of the many things changing. Dream vaguely wondered what else the game had in store.

"Whoa damn Dream!" Sapnap wolf-whistled as Dream pulled the sweater over his head and revealed his abs before the white t-shirt fell back down over his stomach. He noticed George looking his way and winked at him, making George roll his eyes again and look away.

Sapnap was pouting about being neglected, but his eyes widened when he realized he could finally take off his headband. He immediately untied it. It was just a strip of thin white cloth in his hands.
He didn't have anything else to do with it so he retied it around his head. His face sank into a frown as he made another discovery.

"Oh no..."

Dream looked up after tying his own sweater around his waist, finishing off the sexy workman look. He came over at Sapnap's call. "What?"

Sapnap was feeling the back of his head. "I don't have the... the..." he couldn't bring himself to say it. "The thingies, do I?"

Dream snorted and tried to hold in a laugh. Sapnap winced.
Dream laughed behind his fist and raised his eyebrows at Sapnap. "By thingies, you mean... space buns?"

He cackled as Sapnap groaned. He tugged at them as Dream laughed. "Why meeeee, I don't even like the dumb things- HEY no don't call George over-"
"HEY GEORGE!"
"Uggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh." Sapnap whined. "Can you help me get them off?"

"Get what off?" George came back over from wandering around.

"Get you off." Dream said, moving behind Sapnap.
George glared at him.
"Sorry it was right there."

"Look, Sapnap has space buns." Dream laughed. "What do you want me to do about it again?" He asked Sapnap.

Sapnap was grumpy. "Pull them off. Undo whatever's holding them there. I can't feel any hairbands or anything."

"I don't know how you expect me to do that," Dream said as he pulled at Sapnap's head, getting an angry "OW!"
George watched dubiously.

"It's not working."
