"Go on a date with me." Aiden suddenly asked out of the blue
"What?" She asked raising her brows
"Go on a date with me," he said again
"No,"
"Please." She looked at him and saw something different in his eyes something she never saw before, she didn't answer just kept staring at him
"Please go on a date with me?" He pleaded and for some reason she couldn't refuse. She agreed to go on a date with him. He was ecstatic when she agreed to go out with him; he had been trying to ask her out on a date for a long time but the right time had never come. As a result, he chose the wrong time. His pack had just been attacked, and the prisoner he had finally apprehended after such a long time had escaped. But, being in her comfort, he couldn't help but ask her out on a date.

It had been a few days since Prince Aiden had asked her out on a date, and she hadn't seen him much since then. He's always so busy, and whenever he comes to see her, he has this look of stress and anxiety, as well as a defeated look in his eyes. He always tries to conceal it from her, but she can see it through his blue orbs. She doesn't press him to tell because she knows he will eventually, and even if he doesn't, that's fine with her. They'd been having lunch and dinner together in their room for the past few days. Aiden would bring her food for dinner, and they would eat in silence, with only the occasional question about how their days had gone. She hasn't been down to the packhouse since the last time she saw it, and she couldn't be happier. Every morning, she awoke to an empty bed without Aiden; he rises before her and departs. She's been having peaceful nights with him by her side, but there's always that bit of disappointment when she wakes up to an empty bed. But this morning was different; when she awoke, a strong arm was wrapped around her waist, pressing her against a bare warm chest. She turned around to face her mate, who was frowning and tightening his grip on her waist. Her hand caressed the wrinkles that had formed between his brows and his facial expression soften so did his grip on her waist, and her gaze was drawn to all of his facial features. His sharp jaw, a perfect shade of pink lips, the light stubble growing on his face making him look more dangerous, he softly caressed his stubble-filled cheeks, and his striking blue eyes under long lashes. His blue orbs were staring at her hazel ones and that's when she realized he was awake staring back at her with soft blue eyes filled with adoration and love. He smiled and greeted her
"Good morning, love." A soft pink blush painted her cheeks as he caught her touching him while he was asleep.
"Good morning," she pulled her hand away but he placed it back on his cheek with his hand above her. He circled his thumb comforting her
"I could wake up a thousand more years like this and never get tired." He said and she smiled a genuine smile. He kissed her forehead and got up. After Aiden took a shower and went to his closet to change Ariel went to take a shower too. After a shower and dressing up she found Aiden still in their room. He was on his phone and after the call, he turned to face her.
"You are still here," she said
"Let's have breakfast," he smiled and offered his hand for her to take. After a slight hesitation, she placed her hand on his. She thought he was taking her to the packhouse but he stopped at the castles' kitchen and sat her down on one of the bat stools and he started preparing for breakfast.
"What would you like for breakfast?"
"Anything is fine," she replied and he nodded. He took ingredients out of the fridge and placed them on the counter. He folded up his shirt sleeve and started working. The castle was very quiet this morning not even the usual guards were there
"Where is everyone?" She asked
"I dismissed them," he replied while beating eggs in a bowl.
"Why?" She asked again
"I just wanted to spend time with you, alone." She kept staring at him and he gave her a smile going back to making pancakes. He moved around the kitchen and her eyes followed his movement. After a while, he placed a plate full of pancakes with butter in front of her. She looked at the plate and then him with wide eyes
"I know you have a big appetite, no offense." He chuckled
"None taken," it had been over a month since she tasted his pancakes and she almost forgot how amazing they taste. She started eating and he came around and sat beside her. After a few spoonfuls of pancakes, she turned towards him to find him staring at her with an empty plate in front of him. His eyes were filled with adoration, lust, and something different she never saw. She wiggled her brows silently asking why he was staring, he doesn't say anything. He simply placed his hand over her cheek caressing softly. Her beasts were content inside. She felt warmth in his touch, something she craved all these years but never found. He placed a lingering kiss on her forehead and she closed her eyes.
"Finish breakfast and get ready by 3 pm, I'll be here to pick you."
"For what?"
"Our date, love." He smiled and turned around
"And dress casual not too casual though," with that he left. She finished breakfast and went to her studio. Around 1 in the afternoon Megan brought her lunch which she ate in the studio and after that, she went to get ready for their date. Deep down she was excited, all though she forgot to ask where they were going, maybe she'll ask later when he comes to pick her up. Aiden wrapped up his work and was already waiting for her in their living room even before it was 2:30. He was excited and nervous. He wasn't sure if she'd like what he arranged for their first date. He's been pacing back and forth and came to a halt when he heard someone making their way down the stairs. It would be an understatement if he said she looked gorgeous.
