A Dying Tree

So most times I would wander around the island and watch the Dragons, I would watch their behaviours, their fights and them catching food. Sometimes Dragons would come up to me, sniffing me or nudging me a bit and I would follow them around after that.
The fun was when they would pick me up by their claws and throw me into the water after watching me jump into the water. 

I feel a small smile crawl onto my lip and fall just as quickly as I open my eyes and stop thinking about the past, I look at the chest for a second more before taking a breath and opening the chest.

Dracul POV

I needed to sneak off to Berk, I knew what Y/n was up to and I knew that I had to be there for it as it was a part of the both of us.

However I had nightshift tonight and sneaking off wouldn't be that easy, no it's never that easy. With the recent threat of the Dragon Hunters raising everyone had been on lockdown and missing a patrol shift would assure you a stern lecture from Hiccup.

Hiccup.

'That's it!' I think as I stop pacing in my room and realize he's my way out and to Berk, to my sister.

I run out of the room, much to the surprise of Ryu and Speedy, who was staying with me this week and straight to Hiccup's room to try to convince him to take my shift and let me go to Berk. I need to think of a good argument to convince Hiccup as he's been on edge as well, but if I say that I need to talk to Y/n that might hit a weak spot.
It's no lie that over the week since the Dragon Hunter incident he's been overly worried about Y/n's quietness like me, he just is more obvious about it.

I get to his hut and practically kicked down his door.

"HUH-- What!" Hiccup yelled out while jumping back in shock, I don't blame him, however.

"Hiccup I need you to take my patrol shift so I can go to Berk." I rush out and he looks at me with a confused look as Toothless jumps down from his bed with just as a confused expression. 

"And why would I do that? Y/n already at Berk." Hiccup told me and I run my fingers through my hair while taking a deep breath.

"Hiccup, don't you think it's weird she volunteers to go to Berk after not speaking to any of us for a week?" I questioned and his face contorts into one of thought as he starts thinking about it.

"Hiccup... please let me go check on her," I beg and he sighs.

"Fine. But be back here with Gobber in two days." He tells me, I nod in assurance and run off to Ryu and Speedy.

As I get to my hut Ryu is already there, waiting for me so we can fly to Berk, but what surprises me is that Speedy is on top of him. Once he sees me he stands up and roars at me in recognition, like he wants to come with me.
I would like to take Speedy with me but he hasn't left the Edge since he chose us over his pack, we didn't know how he would react as he still lashes out on Snotlout from time to time. I had to stop him half the time cause most of the time Snotlout was annoying Y/n, prompting him to lash out and Y/n wouldn't do anything most of the time because she knows Speedy won't hurt anyone. Just paralyzed them.

"Speedy, you have to stay here," I tell him and he roars unhappily at me.

"We'll only be a day or two and you can meet someone new when we come back with Y/n," I tell him, however, he only roars louder than last, not moving from his spot.

"C'mon, Please?" I beg, elongating the 'e' but this time instead of roaring at me he looks out to the horizon and back to me with a sad growl, causing me to realize he knew something was wrong with Y/n.
