-----------------------------------------------------------------

A few months ago, I honestly didn't expect to be spending my Christmas in a castle with a tall vampire lady, and her three bug daughters; but, here I was, sat by the fireplace snuggled into Lady Dimitrescu, watching as Bela, Cassandra and Daniella opened up presents that Alcina had somehow managed to acquire.

"Daniela, go first, you're the youngest. Youngest to oldest, then it's fair,"

"Mother! Fiora's trying to boss me around! I don't want to go last," Bela wined, Dimitrescu shook her head.

"Leave her be. She's trying to establish order between you three. Daniela, open your's first."

Daniela opened the first present slowly, purposely to annoy the living hell out of the other daughters.

She opened it up to a unicorn bathrobe, giggling and putting it around her, seeming happy enough.

But then, she opened the next present.

"OH MY GOD!'

For some God knows what reason, Alcina had decided to get her a three-in-one karaoke microphone. No sleeping for a week, I could bet on that.

"You three can share. This one, and the next one,"

"But I don't wanna share!" She whined.

"Suck it up," I sighed, moving to get more comfortable.

She quickly opened the next one, a build your own fort kit inside.

"YAY!" She giggled, hugging it tightly.

"Go on, Cassandra, your turn,"

Cassandra took another box, opening it quickly.

"Awww, thanks, Mother."

Inside was a severed hand, which she bit into, making an 'mmm' noise.

"How many more do I have?"

"Just one."

She opened the other one quickly, inside, some chocolate.

"..Thank you,"

"You're welcome, dear. Bela, go on, don't be shy."

Bela nodded, opening her box to a severed leg.

"Mother! You shouldn't have."

"Final present, then you three can go and make that fort. This is for you to share too." She opened it, pulled out a book, looking confused.

"What's that?"

"A diary. You write things in it." Dimitrescu answered, me nodding.

"Now Girls, go off and make that fort, and don't argue. The only main rule."

"Yes, Mother," they all agreed, Daniella taking the fort as the three left.

Dimitrescu moved me across from her, then smiled.

"Did you think I hadn't got you anything?"

"I didn't expect you to,"

Dimitrescu smiled, standing up.

"Give me a moment."

She strolled off, coming back with two small boxes, sitting back next to me.

"Open them."

I slowly opened the first one, looking into her eyes the entire time.

"A gramophone?"

"I was planning something tonight. You always said you wanted to dance with me. I think we're close enough for that now. Shall we?"

"Yes! Yes, yes yes yes!"

"Later, of course."

"Yes. Definitely. I'll obviously have to bend down quite a lot."

I nodded.

"What's in the second one?"

"Open it. You'll find out."

I obliged, opening the tiny parcel, wrapped with a bow.

Inside was something I'd never expected.

A ring?

"What?"

"To signify... Well, us, dear."

She held out her hand, showing her finger, an identical ring on her finger.

"Aww, darling, you shouldn't have. This is why I love you, Alcina."

"I love you too. Now, let's get ready for dinner, shall we?"
