I tapped my feet impatiently, glancing around the small diner.

Damien said he would've been here half an hour ago, I've been waiting too long.

We didn't receive any threats for the past week, but we were still on the edge. Lucia was sent to my uncle's place on a private island. Mom was hesitant about it but no one comes and goes except the bodyguards.

Sighing frustratedly, I got up from my chair and marched back to the car. The guards were standing outside.

" He's not here, let's go. " They hesitantly nodded.

" ATHENA! " A familiar voice shouted from behind me. Groaning, I turned around and spotted Damien walking towards me with another guy.

No. It can't be.

Fuck my life.

" Damien, so nice to see you again. " I said smiling. He returned the smile, pulling me into a friendly hug.

" And Aiden... Hi. " I greeted trying to hide the disgust on my face.

Aiden smirked, wrapping his arms around my waist. " Hey, baby. " He purred in my ear, leaning down trying to place his lips on mine. I turned my head the other way, making him kiss my cheek instead.

His eyebrows furrowed, but he said nothing of it.

" Right! Let's go. "

Aiden and I had been in a complicated relationship. One minute we were together and all lovey, the next we were like complete strangers.

I eventually got tired of it and broke up with him.

He had left a few years ago to be with a girl he knocked up.

Soon after, we arrived at the gang house. It had three floors with a few windows.

" Follow me. " I gritted out as Aiden gave me the 'fuck me' eyes. Damien quietly snickered following me towards my father's office.

We both knew he knew the way, but I didn't want to be alone with Aiden for one second.

" Athena! Hey! " Joshua, one of my dad's best fighter called. I smiled at him.

" What's up? " I asked as he neared us. " We wanted you to come to check out the new golf course we made for Lucia. " Joshua grinned gesturing to his group of friends.

I glance behind me, spotting Aiden.

What a wonderful way to get rid of him.

" Actually Joshua, I think Aiden would love to check it out instead. He loves golf! " I said pushing Aiden forward. He tried backing away.

Joshua glanced at him with slight disappointment in his eyes. " Yeah sure, follow us. " He mumbled walking back to his group with slumped shoulders.

" Buddy totally likes you. " Damien said when they left.

I rolled my eyes turning away from him, " That's too bad. "

" Ah! Damien thank you for coming. " Dad greeted Damien when we entered his office. I got myself comfortable, knowing they would spend hours discussing this.

I wasn't someone with patience. Leaning my head on the chair, I closed my eyes and drifted into a nap.

" Boo Boo bitch. " A voice whispered in my ear. My eyes snapped open, launching myself at the person.
