"Perth, stop, stop."

Perth froze the moment the no longer fifteen year old boy he picked up from the streets beneath him utter those words. He was visibly shaking, small hands pushed Perth's chest, wanting to breathe in the air he felt wasn't sufficient to keep him alive.

"I'm sorry, Perth, sorry."

Perth smiled, pulling the covers so that it'll engulf Saint's naked body - last time they couldn't even get their pants off before Son was already telling him to stop. He dropped his weight onto the mattress next to his partner, slowly caressing Son's shoulder in attempt to soothe his distraught.

"How many times have I told you to never say that?"

Sorrowful eyes opened, looked back at him - for how long had Perth wished for life to return into those blue orbs?

"But it's been four years-"

"And it doesn't matter," Perth discontinued Son's sentence, bringing their foreheads together, "let it take years more even and I'm not going anywhere."

He pulled the covers up, the whole of Son's body disappeared underneath it. He then leaned in once more to place a kiss on top of Son head to ensure him that he was alright with it.

Despite that, the unsettling feeling in his chest caused Son to keep going, "I worry."

He looked at his soon to be fiancé (Perth bought a ring with Prem earlier the week) in disbelief but then he remembered that it was his Son. His Son had gone through so much and it was only natural for him to be feeling that way. Perth assured him firmly, getting up to put on boxers then turning around to make a point with his eyes shooting back at Son who was still lying underneath the covers on the bed "There's nothing for you to worry about, love."

Son pulled the bottom of his lips with his teeth, "When will you get bored of me that you'll- you know-"

Perth tsked, crossing his arms, "my love for you is beyond anything in the world for me to ever cheat on you."

"Loving could only do so much but-" the nineteen year old replied, gripping the sheets, "you're a man and you have needs."

Sitting back down on the bed, Perth reached out for Son's hand, kissing it, "I do have needs - I need you and our kittens." He took in a deep breath, feeling the tremble in Son's hand and couldn't help but feel razors slicing his heart layer by layer thinking that he was also a reason why Son was so. He closed his eyes, keeping his mouth onto Son's skin "Past events - they-they have taught me that it was better to have waited rather than doing something I will regret in the future."

Son kept quiet, staring at their linking hands. The dark incident in the car lingered in the back of their minds, affecting them and their lives even till this day.

"I had done a terrible thing to you, love. It is never your fault but mine," Perth kissed Son's knuckles again, the warmth crept up to his forearms which were extended out of the covers "so don't you worry about it. Do you trust me?"

Trust with Perth had been volatile in Son's book. He trusted Perth too much once and it ruined him. But then Perth had gained his trust once more and even if he had failed helping them escape, Saint couldn't help but let that leave an impact on him he could trust Perth again because this man loves him.

"I do, Perth" he whispered back, seeing a smile carving itself onto Perth's face.

They kissed a while more, Perth keeping a certain barrier between them - the covers - and soon enough Son's trembling ceased itself and the younger one fell asleep in his lovers arms. Perth stayed awake, admiring the one person that changed him until he heard a cry coming from one of the baby monitors.
