Docs grandchild, he's their godfather. Bio grandfather passed away shortly after birth, so he took over and Chris visits radiator springs every summer.
He doesn't actually have any correlation to him, their bio grandfather passed away and so Doc's his godfather, since it was put in their grandfathers will that Doc watch over him. Although, he does hold similar hobbies to his and also has a hard time warming up to new people. He lives in LA and professionally works as a designer for many things: logos, cars, fonts, although he visits Doc in the summer. (He works from there) He has trouble sleeping, and sometimes when bored looks at tapes of Doc back in his racing days, they're both pretty close.
