A submarine is seen diving deeper into the ocean's depths, just off the Bay of Tokyo, the light cascading from the head of the sub being the only light source for the passengers on the submarine. All personnel aboard wear white coats with clipboards in hand, no one emitting a single sound other than an occasional cough or tapping of the pen.

A cloud of tension hung over them as the submarine stopped diving and leveled out to continue moving, this time in a horizontal motion.

They near closer to their destination, a seamount with a massive crevice in its middle. The submarine pulls into the gap and slightly lowers onto a metal plate, surrounded by other subs connected to the seemingly metal flooring.

What was once a normal-looking crack in a seamount is sealed shut with a metal door. Beeping is heard as water begins to drain in what looks like a garage as white lights flicker on, revealing an enormous room full of stationed submarines.

The passengers depart from the submarine and stand together on the wet floor, waiting for something to happen.

In his mid 20's, with slicked-back hair, a young man is the first to talk. "Ms. Azusa, if you don't mind my asking, What are supposed to do now?"

All eyes turn towards a woman with long dark brown with stray grays, holding a metallic briefcase. She turns to the young man. "Osamu is supposed to be meeting us soon. Until then, he wished for us to stay put and not to touch anything while we wait." She finished with a reassuring smile to the man and everyone else.

Satisfied with her answer, the crew began to wait, the ominous tension on the submarine following them outside. The pressure only worsened as the seconds of waiting turned into minutes and the minutes turned to an hour.

Small talk was attempted but ended as fast as it started. People began sitting on the floor as there was nowhere to sit. Some even began nodding off as it was pretty late into the night. Midnight to be exact.

Finally, a door at the other end of the room was heard opening, turning many heads and making some scramble to get off the once wet floor.

A middle-aged man wearing a white button-up with black slacks appears in the doorway, his hair up off his face and brushed to the side of his head. He is sporting a smile.

"Azusa! I am terribly sorry for the wait; we were prepping the subject for the test and trying to pinpoint the spot for the injection site." The man speaks in a deep tone as he moves toward the people, meeting them halfway.

Azusa meets his eyes, now standing a few feet away. "It is completely fine, Osamu. We understand. Thanks for bringing us here; never been on a submarine with the rest of my entire team before." She lets out a small laugh.

"You can thank those submarines with built-in coordinates and extra seating. It took a while to perfect the function and design, but I'm happy to hear they serve their purpose. But moving on from that, how has your team been? Finishing the serum is quite a feat after many failures." Osamu finished, sharp eyes darting from the briefcase held by Azusa to the eyes of the intimidated scientists.

"They have all done an amazing job, Osamu. Each one is extremely brilliant. They have all worked hard to finish this mission you gave us all." Azusa spoke in a defensive tone with a slight frown on her features, not liking Osamu's tone.

Osamu looked back at Azusa and chuckled. "Don't misunderstand me, Azusa. I am just as proud as you!" He turned and began walking towards the door. "But my being proud doesn't overshadow my disappointment over the fact that this is our 10th trial in 4 years of this project being established." Osamu's tone lowered into one of judgment as he finished his harsh truth.
