Thursday- Part 6 We've Got You Ash

Ash paused for a moment.

"You sure?" Ash asked.

"Yep," Bonnie beamed. "Alain and Mairin are having a break from finding Key Stones and Mega Stones. So, they've been staying with Professor Sycamore. When Clemont told Professor Sycamore you were here, they wanted to see you."

"Oh," Ash smiled. "That's nice. Let's go see them."

After a few minutes of walking, Ash, Gladion, Bonnie and both Lycanroc soon reached the area. Everyone had finished setting up the picnic, and the Pokémon were happily playing together. Ash also noticed that Alain's Charizard was having a deep conversation with Kiawe's Charizard.

"Hey guys," Ash said as he put Bonnie down. "We're back."

"What were you two talking about?" Lillie asked eagerly as she stepped towards them while Pikachu eagerly jumped to Ash's shoulder.

"Not for little ears," Gladion repeated as he poked his sister's nose, causing her to gasp and pout. Gladion and Ash smiled at her innocently.

"This isn't over, you two," she said. "I'm not giving up, and I've got Kiawe, Mallow, Lana and Sophocles on my side. We want to know."

"Suit yourself, sis," Gladion said as three people eagerly approached him and Ash.

"Hello, Ash," the man smiled. "It's wonderful to see you again."

"Hello, Professor," Ash smiled. "Alain, Mairin. Have you all met everyone?"

"Everyone except this young man," the man smiled. Ash nodded.

"Gladion, this is Professor Sycamore," Ash introduced. "He helped me when I was travelling through Kalos and gave Greninja to me when he was still a Froakie. And they're Alain and Mairin. This is Gladion. He's Lillie's older brother and my...um...my..."

"Yes, Ash?" Lillie grinned, her face full of excitement, while the rest of the gang stared eagerly.

"Friend and rival," Gladion said quickly, causing Ash to sigh in relief and everyone else to pout.

"Lovely to meet you, Gladion," Professor Sycamore said. "Alain and Mairin are my field assistants. They're helping find me Mega Stones to research for Mega Evolution. Alain is also the current Kalos Pokémon League champion, and he was Ash's previous rival."

"It's nice to meet you all," Gladion said politely.

"And you," Mairin smiled as she held up her Chespin while Alain gave a friendly nod. "This is my partner Chespie."

"Chespin!" Chespie waved as Ash and Gladion gave Chespie a gentle pat on her head.

"Come on, everyone!" Mallow called. "Clemont and I have finished setting up the picnic."

As everyone sat down and started to eat (Pikachu running back to the other Pokémon to continue playing), Gladion looked at Ash and leaned toward his ear.

"Is it okay I said that?" Gladion whispered. "Because I want you to be my boyfriend, but I don't want to get teased by Lillie at the moment."

"I don't mind," Ash whispered back with a smile. "I would like to keep us to ourselves for now. Besides, look at your sister. This is frustrating her."

Gladion looked at Lillie, who was staring at them with wide eyes. It looked like she was hoping they would slip up and be affectionate. Gladion smirked before he looked back at Ash.
