{Y/N}: Kaitos Birthday is coming up.
I thought, sitting on my couch, listening to the sounds of the fire.

We don't really live near one another, but it's not too far away either, we can still meet up regularly.

I grabbed my phone and dialed his number.

After a few seconds, he picked up.

{Kaito}: "Heyy kid what's up?"

{Y/N}: "Hiii I just wanted to know how you are."

I started walking in circles, like a lost duck.
I just can't sit still while talking on the phone.

{Kaito}: "That's a lie, you wouldn't call me just for that."

Well, he isn't my best friend for nothing, but it sucks that he can tell when i'm lying, maybe I'm just really bad at it.

{Y/N}: "Alright, alright, you caught me. I wanted to ask what you plan to do on your birthday."

{Kaito}: "oh uh- I don't think I'll actually do anything, Idk.."

{Y/N}: "Really? No party or anything?"

{Kaito}: "Eh, I don't feel like it, I'd rather do something with my family, in a small circle, you know?"

{Y/N}: "oh sure, sounds nice."

{Kaito}: "Why are you asking?"

{Y/N}: "I was just wondering, that's all."

{Kaito}: "I'm not sure if I believe you, but I take it for now."

{Y/N}: "Okaayyyy! Talk to you later, bye!"

{Kaito}: "Wait-"

I hung up.

I'm still going to do something, no party though. Maybe a cake, or a cute little picnic, I don't really go out to eat or something, too much people.

I went out for shopping, I brought some ingredients to bake a cake, some fruits, candles, chocolate.

I need a good present too.

I looked around some more, when something catches my eye.

It was a cute little rocket, which also glows.

Ahh, it looks like something for a child, but it's also something he would like too!

Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt buying it.

After I got out of the store I went home.

I put the things away and waited the next few days until the day arrived of Kaitos Birthday arrived.

{Y/N}: "Alright! Let's get this."

I prepared all day, baking, wrap the gift, cleaning everything after, and so on.

I looked at the clock.

{Y/N}: "crap! It's already late."

I quickly grabbed my phone.

{Y/N}: Come on, pick up.. Please..

{Kaito}: "Hey pretty, how are you?"

{Y/N}: "Pff, I'm good. Are your parents still around?"
