Start from the beginning

The Eldians were powerful; using the power of the Titans to take the land of Marley, oppressing anyone who didn't have the blood of an Eldian, and wiping out entire bloodlines. They forced others to have their children so there would be more subjects of Ymir. This ethnic cleansing lasted around 1,700 years.

From the appearance of their first ancestor, Ymir, all the way up to now, the latest research says that humanity could go extinct three times over and it still wouldn't reach the number of lives that have been taken by the Titans.

The Eldian empire soon grew to have no enemies at all, having slaughtered or conquered almost everyone or anything in their way.

With no enemies to defeat, the Eldians eventually turned on each other in betrayal, inciting the great Titan war

With no enemies to defeat, the Eldians eventually turned on each other in betrayal, inciting the great Titan war. The families who held the nine Titans shed each other's blood in an endless cycle of conspiracy and betrayal, with the Fritz family struggling to maintain order using the Founding Titan.

Until Karl Fritz, the 145th king, came into rule.

No longer wanting to be apart of the conflict, Karl Fritz abandoned the war. And with no Founding Titan maintaining some order, the Eldian empire officially collapsed.

Amongst the chaos, the Marleyan nation was able to gain the powers of eight out of the ten Titans, dramatically turning the tide of the war in their favor. With the power of the Titans, Marley reclaimed nearly all of their stolen land back from the Eldians.

Meanwhile Karl Fritz, using the power of the Founding Titan, moved to the last territory the Eldians had left: Paradis Island. He took large groups of Eldians with him, gathering everyone in one place, before using the power of the Founding Titan to guide multiple Colossal Titans in the construction of three large walls. The three walls formed concentric circles around his territory, protecting him and the last of the Eldians from the world's wrath and to live in peace.

His final message rang out to the outside world:
"If any act of war is committed against the remnants of Eldia, the tens of millions of Titans within the walls will be unleashed upon the world to flatten the earth."

But Karl left some Eldians behind

But Karl left some Eldians behind.

The Eldians who didn't make it to Paradis were conquered by Marley, forced to live in cages where they'd be seperate from the Marleyans. They were treated like the scum of the earth, beaten and spat on for their people's wrongdoings.

And it went on for years.

An entirely new generation, completely removed from the conflicts that transpired so long ago, were still atoning for their ancestor's sins. If an Eldian even so much as looked at a Marleyan wrong, they were sent to 'Heaven', injected with the serum to be turned into a pure Titan before being subjected to an eternity of mindlessly wandering the earth in search of your lost humanity.

The Eldians within Marley were enraged and betrayed, ashamed of the filthy Eldian blood that ran through their veins. They wanted so badly to be seen as people, to not be lumped into the cruel acts of their ancestors, but the Marleyans could no longer see them as such.

The Marleyans would forever view Eldians as the devils who once slaughtered an entire nation.
