FEB 2025 UPDATE: Hey everyone! I'm sorry for disappearing off the face of the earth for like a year and a half... When I originally decided to rewrite this fanfic, I was a senior in high school and was more focused on completing my studies than I was on this, especially after I got a job. I did get promoted to a manager a year later and I'm now juggling being a full-time student as well as a manager, so I'm busy almost every single day, which is why I haven't updated this fanfic in so long. HOWEVER!! I'm going to put all of my chapters into a Google doc to motivate me to finish rewriting this when I have the time (since I do go to Google docs a lot to write for school and seeing this fanfic there will remind me that I need to finish it) because it is a hot mess and I know I have a few people wishing to read the finished version. So sorry for the long wait! (I didn't update during winter break mostly because even though I didn't have school, since I'm a manager I was at work every single day from around 2 PM to 1 AM so I was a lil busy... but also I forgot about this for a bit. [Slowly Paced] Cara Ludwig didn't remember how she got to the Underground City, but frankly, she didn't care. Weak, helpless, and ignored, she sought the help of a girl who was in the same situation. She went by the name Isabel Magnolia. Becoming close, the two girls were inseparable. Cara even traded her name for Isabel's. Though Isabel was a bit older than Cara, it seemed as if Cara took care of her rather than the other way around. When Isabel got in more trouble than she could handle, she ended up relying on the help of the City's two most infamous thugs, Levi Ackerman and Farlan Chruch. With Isabel's determination to fly using the 3D Maneuvering Gear, she prompted to join them and they accepted, though Cara gave her a handful of warnings. After training to get better and better with the 3DMG, they finally, as a group, got their first job. As they were about to complete it, they find that they have pursuers from the Regiment that called themselves the Survey Corps. Once they got captured, their commander, Erwin, suggested, or more like forced, them to join the Corps to help fight against Titans. They accept for they have no other choice and at their first battle, it was a loss. After three years of being apart of the Survey Corps, Cara found that there was a job opening to help assist in training the 104th Trainee Squad.
