fifteen years later

JADEN'S P.O.V.

"Okay guys, you ready?"
I asked when we all sat in the car.
"Yep."
I got a lot of those in response while we buckled up our seat belts.
Lexi played the radio while I turned the engine on.
We were right now going to Michael's football match.
"You excited bud?"
"Yeah, I hope we don't lose."
"It's not just about winning but having fun there with your friends."
"But also it's about winning."
I got a glare from Lexi. Shit I'm gonna get murdered for saying that.
"But, even if your team doesn't win we will be very proud of you that you played."
"I know, but I still wanna win."
I put my hand on Lexi's thigh, squeezing it a little and shaking.
She just looked at me and smiled, taking my hand in hers.
"Wanna grab Dunkin while we are driving?"
"Yes!"
Josie squealed while boys just cheered, making Lexi and me giggle.
I parked in front of Dunkin and Josie and I got out the car.
"Gimme your hand."
My and her hand locked together while we walked inside.

We ordered everything and then sat at the table, waiting for them to make it.
"Daddy, you wanna know what I was thinking?"
"What baby?"
"I wanna know how babies were made."
My eyes widened a little in shock. I didn't expect her to ask me that.
"What do you mean how they were made?"
"Well, it's obvious that they don't just fall from the sky in moms tummy. There is a way how you make them, right?"
"W-"
On my luck, I got saved by woman that called our order.
We grabbed everything and walked out the place.
"So?"
"Well, you see, when mom and dad love each other so much, they make babies."
"But how?"
"Well, with their love for each other."
"But how? That doesn't really sound that good to me. Like, who put my skin and hair in mommy's tummy?"
I opened the car doors for her to sit inside.
I quickly walked to drivers seat and sat in.
"So, dad?"
"Well, you see, that is a conversation that we'll have in few years. You're still young to understand that."
"What?"
Lexi asked confused while they all listened to our conversation.
"She asked how babies were made."
Her eyes widened while she silently laughed.
"You don't wanna have that conversation Josie, trust me."
Michael told her patting her knee.
When Michael asked that he was really embarrassed when we started talking about sex and all that stuff.
But, boys his age are getting interested into that and might want to try it, so we talked to him not that long ago about it.
Condoms, making babies and just sex in general.
"Okay, did you give everyone their drinks Jo?"
"Yeah."
"Okay then, let's go to match now."

In about 40 minutes we got to the place.
I handed Michael his stuff from the trunk of the car and we waved at him saying 'bye' before he ran off to his team.
"Okay, let's find the seats now before it starts."
Mason held Lexi's hand while Josie held mine and we found the free four seats and sat there.
Kids were in the middle and Lexi and I on the sides.
"Mommy, do you have a gum?"
"I think I do, let me check."
She opened her bag and looked through it, before handing them to kids.
"Dad, you want a gum?"
Josie shook my arm a little and I shook my head no, kissing her head.
Jesus, how much I love my kids and wife. Sometimes I want to cry, because 18 years ago I didn't think it's possible loving someone this much. Sure I loved and still love my mom and sisters very very much, but it's just so different when you realize it's a little version of you mixed with the love of your life and at the same time the most beautiful woman on the planet.
I would give up everything just to see them smile.

It was almost end of the match, just few minutes.
The score was 2:2, and it was really tense.
Kids were running all around the ground.
30 seconds before match was ending, Michael took the ball from rival team and started running to their goal.
He kicked the ball, and it flew right between goalkeeper's legs.
One second before the end.
Everyone jumped up, cheering, while his team ran to him and started cheering too.
Rivals and his team gave each other high-fives.
He looked at us in the crowd and smiled while we waved at him, cheering.
Josie being Josie, she does it every time, ran from the chairs and jumped up on Michael, hugging him.
Everyone started going to their dressing rooms while some of parents were cheering on the kids.
We walked up to Michael and Josie, giving him high-five.
"Good job buddy!"
"I'm so proud of you bub."
Lexi hugged him while he couldn't stop smiling.
"That was so intense!"
Mason said jumping up and giving Michael high-five.
"Okay, go to your team now and change your clothes before we go."
He nodded and ran off to his dressing room.
"Daddy, spin me around!"
Josie held her arms in the air, waiting for me to pick her up.
I spun her around while she giggled and squealed.
"Are we going to eat now?"
"Yeah."
"Where?"
"I don't know, we'll let Mikey choose, since he won the game."
"Okay."

Once Michael changed and finished talking to his friends he walked back to us and we started going to the car.
"Give me your backpack."
He handed me it, while smile still couldn't wipe off his face.
"Okay buddy, since you won the game you get to choose where are we going to eat."
Lexi said pulling him to her side and running her hand through his sweaty hair.
"Uh, just some random restaurant, I don't know."
"Okay, you don't want McDonald's, Chick-fil-A or anything like that?"
"No, I want food from real restaurant."
"Okay."
I put his backpack in the trunk of the car and then we all got in.

We just talked on our way to a restaurant that Lexi found on the internet.
"Okay, let's go guys."
We got out the car and walked in the restaurant.
"Hello."
"Hello, do you have table for 5?"
"Yes, of course, follow me."
She lead us outside to the yard and showed us the table, giving us menu's.
"Thank you."
Woman nodded smiling.
"I'll be back in few minutes to get your orders."

"Ahh, food finally."
Mason groaned after the waitress walked away from our table after giving us our food.
"Do you need help to cut it?"
"No, I'm a big man."
Lexi and I smiled, before we all started eating.

"Mom, I gotta go to restroom."
"Okay, come."
Girls walked away from the table and we were just sitting there now, after we finished the food.
"Do you boys need to go too?"
"Nope."
"No."
"Okay then."

Mason started asking something about water and stuff about it, so we started that conversation.
I love how all three of them are so different.
Michael is a tall and athlete type that doesn't care much about school, Mason is a little more nerdy and a little chubby but I like him like that, and he will probably grow out of it when it comes to puberty; but even if he doesn't that's perfectly fine while he's healthy, and Josie is just probably naturally smart like her mom.
I mean, all of them are smart of course, but if we are talking about school/book smart she needs the least time to study, does good at school but still spends the whole days out of house.
It's all complete opposites.

When girls came back from the restroom we paid and left, driving back to the home.
