Tatlong araw. Tatlong araw akong hindi pumasok. During that three days, I let Kit accompany me. Let him entertain me. It's been three days since I continue receiving calls and text threats from Onyx. But I never replied back. 

I move the white pawn piece on the board and let the black knight defeat the pawn. I smirk when I imagined Kit as the pawn. I keep playing on my own until the black won. 

"Checkmate..." I mumbled as I move the last piece. Napatingin ako sa glass window ng kwarto ko it's already midnight. Another boring day passed. 

"Hindi ako natutuwa sa larong pinapakita nila... Tsk." I lay down on my bed. Nanatili akong nakatingin sa kisame ng kwarto. The plain ceiling looks so dull like the day that passed inside this University. 

"Leighton vs them... I'll watch them until they shatter each other. Masaya sigurong makitang nagtataguan lang sila. Those chess pieces are kind of different from others. The king itself fooled by his own servant. How pathetic is that..." Tumaas ang sulok ng labi ko. Tama ang desisyon 'kong magpadala sa kuryosidad na nabubuo sa'akin. That curiosity gives me one of the best toys that  I'll be proud of.

A smile was plastered to my lips while walking in the corridor. I don't see any students maybe because it's already time. I woke up late than usual.

"I wonder what kind of game I'll play with Onyx today—" I was cut off in my momentum when a tall guy blocked my way. Moreno ito at matangka. I mentally grin. Inayos ko ang salamin ko bago suklian ng ngiti ang lalaking nasa harap 'ko.

"Ah-eh, I'm sorry for blocking your way. I just want to ask something." A shy smile appears on his lips.

"I-it's okay." My tone was low like a child who's afraid to mess up.

"I'm looking for this room." Pinakita n'ya sa 'kin ang schedule form. Napangiti naman ako lalo.

"Oww, It's the same section as mine. I'm going there. Sumabay kana." He nods.

"By the way, I'm Slade Idriss Nyle Garrett..." He extends his hand. I gladly accepted it.

"Ganther Uries Neric Asuncion nice to meet you..." Tahimik kaming pumunta sa room. I received a death glare from everyone, especially from the king.

"I'm not going tolerate this kind of attitude Mr. Asuncion. The next time you'll be late. Hindi na kita tatanggapin sa klase ko, for now here's your warning slip." My professor hissed to me. Rinig ko ang impit na tawa ng mga kaklase ko. But I ignored it at pumunta sa upuan 'ko. Paupo na ako ng biglang may umurong sa upuan ko palayo that end me up to fell on the floor. Their laughs roared.

"Tanga."

"What a stupid clumsy gay."

"Ang aga para sa katangahan, Ganther."

I flashed an innocent smile saka inayos ang sarili 'ko. Kukunin ko sana ang upuan 'ko but Onyx stop me.

"Sa sahig ka uupo, Ganther. Until our whole classes are done. That's your punishment for being a rat that running away from me." He even kicked me. Hindi na ako nagsalita at umupo sa sahig.

"Parang sobra naman 'yan." Napalingon ako sa nagsalita. The transferee. I want to scoff at him. He's been standing for decades in front watching everything then suddenly he will interfere. What a lame move. Now, all their attention was on him.
