Over a year before his death.
___________
y/n POV

I smelt the early morning breeze as it wisped in from the small crack in the window. I've always enjoyed waking up to the smell of the fresh air.
I rubbed my eyes and looked around the van, everybody was gone? I shook it off and headed to the bathroom to get ready.

I looked up at myself in the mirror and saw a bright yellow sticky note stuck onto my forehead. I rolled my eyes and peeled it off and began to read it,
"We went off to the field, brb -Tommy '' In the messiest handwriting I've seen in my life. I shook my head.

"Typical." I spat with a smile. I finished getting dressed, throwing my hair out of my face in whatever way possible. I decided to stock up on some extra food and resources to pass sometime. When I came home they all still were not back yet, I didn't really know what else to do. I laid down on the warm grass in the burning sunlight, when I heard footsteps.

I leaned over while still sitting criss-crossed on the grass and peared around the corner of the van to see a short brunette boy on the horizon—it was Tubbo. I smiled as my boredom faded from my body.

"Tubbo!" I yelled to him.

"Hey, y/n! I got tired so I decided to come back," He came over and sat on the ground with me. "What are you up too?" He could sense my unproductiveness.

"Clearly not much." I laughed and rubbed my neck.

"Well my swords got a little bent out of shape today, wanna come with me to mend it?" He asked as he stood up.

"Of course!" I smiled and sprung up from my spot, before running into the van to grab my tools, then we headed out. He told me all the details from today, all the small things Tommy did to frustrate Wilbur, which was a normal everyday occurrence. He filled me in on all tricks that Will taught him today, he seemed really proud of himself which made me really happy. Tubbo had always been underestimated fighter on our side; he definitely wasn't the best, though because of his personality and build of his body, he had always been seen as weak, which he was surly not.

We made it to the enchant room that was hidden underground in the Greater Dream SMP side of town. We all tried to avoid this area at all cost to avoid Dream himself, though sometimes it was necessary.
Both of our swords were damaged as we didn't have any other swords to practice with other than our main ones, which I knew would only bring us down in battle.

It didn't take long for us both to sharpen our swords, allowing the purple hue on both begin to shine through brightly.

We headed back up the stairs and down the oak path, it was dark by the time we got out. We left all of our lanterns back in L'manberg though the purple light from our swords was enough to lead the way.

As we got closer to L'manberg our path got brighter. We walked through the threshold into our country to see the rest of the boys sitting in a circle around a campfire.
"We're backkk!" Tubbo cheered as we got closer, skipping closer to the fire and all the boys surrounding it.

"AYEEE!" Tommy yelled to us, staying seated as he aggressively smacked the open space next to him.

I went and sat next to Will, to which he immediately got up and went into the van.
Whats wrong with him? I questioned myself. Did something happen today? Tubbo expressed that they clearly had a good day.
My heart fell into my stomach as I thought back to last night. Did I say something out of pocket while I was tired?

Wilbur returned; though when he did he had nothing in his hands, meaning he had left so he could move without it being awkward, though it most definitely was awkward.
He sat on the opposite side of the fire than me, Something is definitely wrong.
