THE TENSION died down a bit as the group began rehearsing again—well as much as they could without Alex. This time though, Riley didn't leave. Though since it was hard to ignore Luke and Julie's' chemistry, she sat on the couch on the phone with Leah.

Leah: so how did it go???

Riles: hmm I don't know maybe you would know if you didn't LEAVE ME with him!

Leah: sorry about that...

Riles: you should be. why did you leave me with him??

Leah: because he was going to ask you to the dance and it would've been awkward with me there

Riles: you're supposed to be my moral support—-
YOU KNEW?

Leah: maybe sort of

Riles: I know where you sleep at night.

Leah: uh oh

Riles: yes, uh oh is correct

Leah: whatever. did you say yes???? Please say you said yes. If you said no I'm actually going to kill you

Riles: I said yes

Leah: Oh my God yay! Want me to come over while you get ready?

Riles: about that, I've already gotten ready, I've just been bored so.. but you NEED to meet me at the dance. I cant be by myself the whole time

Leah: you'll be with Ben though?

Riles: i know that le but you know how I am with this stuff

While rehearsing, Luke had also been listening in on Riley's conversation with Leah. His jaw clenched as he listened to Riley talk about Benjamin, why was it that he wasn't happy about her going?

Leah: okay. walk in together?

Riles: yes please.

Riley had gotten off of the phone with Leah, and now she sat on the couch with her knees to her chest, deep in thought. She tried her best not to look up at Julie and Luke, their chemistry still bothered her, she wasn't sure why. Riley hadn't noticed Luke's eyes on her while he sang. But Luke noticed the way she wouldn't look at him as much as she used to.
