The Next Day: Hoseok

Hoseok stayed in bed till noon, well more like on the couch, he woke up seeing the TV still on with the option to play the movie or not since it started over as he was asleep, he reached for the remote on the table and turned the TV off, he looked at his watch since he still had it on and saw it was 12:17, he quickly sat up and was about to start panicking that he's super late for work until he remembered the events from yesterday making him throw himself back onto the couch with a humph, Mickey then came running over wagging her tail and barking jumping up on her two hind legs as if trying to get his attention, Hoseok just sighed
"Just a few more minutes Mickey" he said as he draped his arm over his eyes, Mickey just kept barking and started to whimper taping her paws on the tiled floor as she occasionally spun in tiny circles still trying to gain his attention, her nails kept tapping on the floor but Hoseok decided to ignore her and tried to rest a bit longer.

After about a minute she finally stopped which he was grateful for because she was slightly starting to annoyed him and he didn't want to yell at her, but from the silence he heard water or some kind of liquid as if being spilled so he lifted his arm from his face and looked around with tired eyes and his eyes landed on Mickey peeing on the coat rack by the door
"Uuugh! I'm already having the worst day.. Mickey stop it! Don't pee in the house!" He yelled out to her making her stop and run away with her tail between her legs, Hoseok sighed feeling bad for yelling at the dog since it was basically his fault she peed in the house.

He lazily got up and made his way to the kitchen to feed Mickey since she might also be hungry, he put some food and water in her bowl but she didn't come running over yet like she usually does so he called out to her
"Mickey! Come here girl!" He said in a sweet way to show he wasn't mad at her anymore, she then peeked around the corner and slowly made her way over to him
"There you are Mickey come here girl" he said happily tapping his lap making her perk up and run to him while wagging her tail so he bent down and ruffled her hair
"I'm sorry Mickey I didn't mean to get mad at you earlier it was my fault anyways, please forgive me" he said with a cute pout as she whimpered from happiness.

"Okay, you can go ahead and eat now baby girl" he said as he stood up
"Unless you still need to use the restroom first?" He said with a tilted head, Mickey barked and ran to the door making him giggle
"Okay, restroom it is" he said and walked to the door not needing to put a leash on her since she listens and doesn't run
"Okay come on" he smiled lightly and opened the door making her run out into the front yard to do her business.

She sniffed around and then started using the restroom toward the side of the house, after she was done she started kicking the dirt with her hind legs and looked up at Hoseok who was watching her the whole time before she started sniffing the ground again as if looking for another spot
"Still not done yet Mickey? Okay just two more minutes" he called out before he took a seat on the chair on the porch
"Or five more minutes since I have nothing else to do" he said to himself as he slumped in his seat with a pout, he tried not to think about yesterday but it was hard especially since he was basically humiliated and in a way bullied by that man, he started getting a lump in his throat thinking about events from yesterday, he didn't want to cry especially outside so he looked up to find Mickey to seek some kind of comfort from at least looking at her and he saw her by the gate near the sidewalk, she then looked up at him too for a few quick seconds before she proceeded to sniff the air, she then looked at him one more time making him look at her confused before she darted out the gate and ran off somewhere.

Hoseok was shocked but he immediately stood up and called out to her as he ran after her
"Mickey!! Mickey where are you going!?" He ran out the gate after her but she was a dog so she was faster than he was, and the fact that he didn't have his shoes on and only his sandals which made him slower didn't help, the only good thing was he was still in his clothes from yesterday and not his pajamas.

Mickey ran around the corner of the block and kept going even after Hoseoks calls for her to stop, after running two more blocks he finally lost her
"Mickey!!" He called out for her again hoping she would run out from a hiding spot or something but she didn't, he frantically ran around the neighborhood running to placing he thinks she might have gone but he still couldn't find her, he ran down a street and saw some people outside in their front yard and ran up to them
"Hello, by any chance have you guys seen a little brown and white dog run by here at all?" He asked hopeful
"I'm sorry sir but we haven't" one of the people said apologetically
"Ah, thank you" he said and jogged away, he kept running everywhere, down allies and other pathways, everytime he would see someone he would ask if they saw her but no one did, this went on for a while, him running around trying to find his dog, but slowly loosing hope.

Two hours finally passed and he was now sitting at the corner of a small liquor store, his eyes were watery and he didn't have his phone to know what time it was or any money incase he needed it, the weather was pretty chilly and he was starting to get cold since he wasn't running around anymore, and his sweat wasn't making it any better, it was just making him more cold, he just sniffled holding back his tears from falling and slowly stood up on his feet and crossing his arms over his chest in an attempt to keep warm from the cold breeze, he slowly started walking back home which wasn't close by either since he was running everywhere and ran a pretty good distance away from his home, and he was hungry, thirsty and tired so he thought it would be best to go home and rest for a bit to get energized before he goes out to look for her again, this time in his car.

After about a 40 minute walk since he was walking pretty slow he finally made it home, he walked in the door with no problem since it was still unlocked, he closed the door behind him and that's when he decided to let it all out once again, it started off as silent tears before it slowly started to turn into sobs, sobs for his sad life and for his now missing dog
"How could I loose my job and my dog within two days!" He cried out
"My dad's right, I am just a stupid and useless loose who can't live on his own, I can't even keep a job or take care of a dog" he cried harder and buried his face in his knees as he wrapped his arms around his legs.

After a few long minutes he finally got up, he was still lighty crying, only silent tears coming out again, he just didn't want to stay sitting on the floor by the door any longer so he wanted to go sit on the couch, he almost forgot about the pee that Mickey did on the coat rack until he looked down and saw it just before he was about to walk away from the door and to the couch, he sighed sadly before slowly making his way to the bathroom to get stuff to clean the pee up, he came back with a roll of toilet paper and disinfectant spray and cleaned it up, when he was done he put the stuff back and went to the kitchen, he wanted to lay back down and rest but he started to get really hungry since he hadn't eaten yet and it was already about to be 3:40 in the afternoon.

He just made himself a ham and turkey sandwich since it was something simple and went to look for some chips to go with it but he didn't have any
"Great, no chips either" he said to himself as he walked to the living room to eat on the couch while watching something to hopefully cheer him up some or help him get more energized or motivated for when he goes back out to continue looking for Mickey.

Sorry this chapter is shorter than the others, I'm a young adult and life is kicking my butt right now so that's that on that, so this chapter was a bit rushed because I needed to update, I can't promise when the next update will be but I will try my best to keep up on it
