It is important to take a look at your beliefs about different aspects of your life. Beliefs will have the power of blocking you from achieving your fullest potential. Next, I present some common beliefs that individuals have about themselves.

Realize How Your Beliefs Influence Your Behavior

Now you will compare your beliefs that you wrote down in the previous exercise to your behavior and/or experiences in those specific areas of your life. This first section is focusing on your negative beliefs followed by your positive beliefs.

Most likely this will not be an overnight success. Beliefs are deeply ingrained in our subconscious and need to be uncovered, felt, released and replaced with beliefs that promote potential. Importantly, these beliefs that you have uncovered in this mini exercise were easy to access, but you do have beliefs that influence your behaviors that are harder to uncover. They will come up as you become more connected to your Inner Self. The connection section will give you techniques that connect you to your Inner Self and as you develop that connection and become more aligned, beliefs will arise that will need to be felt, released and replaced. Even though this is a process, this exercise begins your journey on understanding beliefs and the influence they have on your behavior and outcomes.

Now that you see the association between your beliefs and your behavior, it is time to replace those beliefs that are hindering you from your potential and replace them with new beliefs that will promote your potential. Pull out the beliefs that you have determined are preventing you from moving toward your desired goals or that you believe are hindering your potential. Write those in the left column and then come up with a new belief that will be beneficial for moving toward your potential and desired goals. Importantly, when you create these new beliefs, spend some time not only thinking about them, but also use your imagination to feel the new beliefs.
