The war was about to start in a few hours, everyone was offering prayers to their deities on both side.

"Om Mitraye namah, ravaye namah, Suryaye namah." Aahana and Aarashi chanted.

Suddenly a bright light came towards them and took a form of a deity. Both the girls opened their eyes and recognized the deity ot be Suryadev.

"Pranam Pitadev." Both girls greeted.

"Cheeran-jeevi bhava." He smiled.

"Aho bhagya humare jo iss bhishan yudh se pehle aapke Darshan ho gaye prabhu." Aahana said.

"Ab yudh ke parinaam mujhe, humare paksh mai aate dikh rahe hai." Aarashi said.

"Yudh ke parinaam awashya Shri Ram ke paksh mai hi honge. Kintu yeh iss yug ka dharmayudh hai, jo atyant ghatak hoga. Kya tum dono iss yudh mai bhag lena chahti ho ? Parinam kuch bhi ho sakta hai tumhare liye." Suryadev said.

"Pitadev, ab hum yudh se piche nahi hat sakte. Yadi jeevit rahe toh shaurya prapt hogi yadi na rahe toh amar hojayenge." Aarashi said.

"Piche hat ke hum aapke naam ko kalankit nahi kar sakte Pitadev. Humara kartavya hai ki apne parakram se aapko yash aur kirti de." Aahana said.

"Aur Pitadev hone ke naate mera bhi ek kartavya hai ki tum dono ki suraksha mai sunishchit karu." Suryadev said and summoned two glorious bows and gave it to them.

"Jab tak yeh Surya-Dhanush tumhare saath hai tab tak tum dono ko koi parast nahi kar sakta chahe woh swayam Ravan hi kyu na ho. Yudh bhumi tumhara tej aur taap mere samaan hoga, jisse tum Shatruo ka aisa naash kar sako jaise meri kirne andhakar ka naash karti hai. Yeh mera aashirwaad hai." Suryadev said and vanished in thin air.

Shri Ram, Laxman, Vibhishan, Sugreev, Jambuvant, Aahana and Aarashi were standing on top of the hill, watching the vanar sena and the Asur sena fighting.

All of their eyes were set on a Rathi level soldier, who was annihilating the Vanar sena.

"Yeh Rathi yodha kaun hai jo humare sena ka iss prakar sanghar kar raha hai." Laxman asked.

"Yeh Ravan ka parakrami putra Prahast hai, yeh humari puri sena ko nasht karne ki kshamta rakhta hai." Vibhishan said.

"Tab toh isse rokna hi hoga." Laxman said.

He jumped from the hill and ran towards Prahast, who laughed seeing him.

"Aao Laxman Aao ! Mai tumhari hi pratiksha kar raha tha. Lanka mai bina anumati ke aane ke karan mai tum dono bhaiyo ko dandit karunga, apne dusre bhai ko bhi bulalao." Prahast said.

"Hey nyaya-dheesh hum dono bhaiyo ko alag alag dand dena hi uchit rahega. Pehle mujhse nipat lo aur yadi jeevit bache toh bade bhaiya ke Darshan bhi tumhe ho jayenge." Laxman said sarcastically.

Both of them engaged in the nattle with Laxman ji getting the upper hand. On the other side Hanuman ji was fighting with Sena-nayak Durmukh.

"Pawan putra Hanuman ! Tumhari mrityu aaj mere hatho likhi hai !" Durmukh said.

"Bhul huyi hai tumse Durmukh ! Meri mrityu tumhare haath se nahi, apetu tumhari mrityu aaj tumhare haatho par likhi hai." Hanuman ji said.

"Bhul toh humare Maharaj Ravan se huyi thi ki tumhe jeevit chhoda. Lanka jalane ka badla aaj tumse mai lunga !" Durmukh yelled and lunged towards Hanuman ji. Both of them engaged in a battle.

Their battle ended with Hanuman ji pushing his knee on his throat and choking Durmukh to death.

Similarly the battle between Prahast and Laxman ended with Laxman ji shooting a divine arrow at Prashast's chest.

Hearing about his Prashast's death, the son of Khar, Makraaksh entered the battlefield and wreacked havoc with his troop of soldiers. Anagad was trying to fight him, but he wouldn't be able to defeat him alone.

"Yeh toh humari sena ka vinash kardega." Aarashi said.

"Hume yudh mai jaane ki aagya de prabhu." Aahana said.

"Aagya hai." Shri Ram said.

Both the girls ran towards Makraaksh and his troops and with their Agni-astra set his entire troops on fire.

"Hey Makraaksh ! Humse yudh karo." Aarashi challenged.

"Oh toh uss Ram ke paas koi yodha bacha nahi iss liye 2 balao ko mujhse yudh karne bhej diya ? Mujhe tumse yudh karne mai koi ruchi nahi, mujhe keval uss Ram ka mastiksh chahiye, jisne mere Pita Khar aur Chacha Dushan ka vadh kiya tha. Bulao uss Ram ko !" Makraaksh said.

"Chuha yadi Sher ke gufa ke samne aake use lalkare toh Sher uske saamne prakat nahi hota murkh." Aahana said.

"Tum ek dudh pite bacche ke bhati tark kar rahe ho, iss liye mujhe tum par aur tumhari Mata par daya aati hai." Angad said.

Suddenly Shri Ram, along with Laxman, Sugreev and Vibhishan came there.

"Prabhu aap yaha ?" Angad asked.

"Isse hum parast kar sakte hai Shri Ram, aap kasht mat uthayiye." Aahana said.

"Makraaksh ne mujhe yudh ki chunauti di hai. Ek kshatriya hone ke naate mujhe hi isse yudh karna padega." Shri Ram said.

"Hey Ram, meri Mata ne mujhe aadesh diya hai ki apne Pita Khar ka shradh mai tumhari khopdi mai bhare paani se karu." Makraaksh said.

"Mai tumhari veerta ka aadar karta hu, aur iss liye tumhe vachan deta hu ki yadi tumhare haath mujhe veergati prapt ho toh mera mastiksh tumhara hoga, aur iss vachan ke yaha sab saakshi hai." Shri Ram said.

"Toh yudh keval mere aur aapke bich hoga aur anya koi maharathi isme hastakshep nahi karega. Kya chunauti swikarya hai ?" Makraaksh asked.

"Swikarya hai." Shri Ram said and gestured everybody to leave both of them alone.

They both engaged in a furious battle with Shri Ram breaking Makraaksh's rath. Makraaksh flew above and cloned himself into many and all of them started throwing various weapons at Shri Ram.

Shri Ram tackled all of them but was confused as to who was the real Makraaksh. And that's when Vibhishan came to his aid.

"Shri Ram jo Asli Makraaksh hai, ussi ke tan se rakt bahega. Mayavi Makraaksho ke tan se nahi." Vibhishan said.

Shri Ram saw all the Makraakshes and found one of them had a bloody cut from his arm. Knowing that he was the real Makraaksh, Shri Ram shot a divine weapon at him and Makraaksh fell down and took his last breath.

And thats how the first day of war ended with Victory of Shri Ram.
