TARA'S CURSE

This time Sugreev wore a flower garlands around his neck to look distinguishable from Vali. And as planned challenged Vali for a duel early in the morning, when Tara went away to take a bath.

This time Shri Ram was successful in killing Vali by shooting an arrow at him from behind.

Vali accused him of treachery but Shri Ram told him clearly that if he lives by the law of jungle then he must die as well by the law of Jungle.

But to give him assurance, Shri Ram told him that in his next life Vali will kill him.

Upon learning how his husband was killed Tara came running towards him. And was heart broken seeing her dead husband.

"Hey Raghunandan Ram ! Jis prakar aapne mujhe meri pati se dur kiya hai ! Punah milan ke baad aap aur aapki patni Sita ka bhi viyog ho jayega ! Yeh Shraap hai, Sati Tara ka !" Tara cursed, shocking everyone.

"Aapka bhi viyog ho jayega...." Tara fell on her knees crying.

"Mujhe aapka yeh shraap swikar hai." Shri Ram said.

"Itne veer yodha ko aisi mrityu kyu pradan ki aapne Ram ?" Tara asked sobbing.

"Jo karm Vali ne kiye the, usse toh pashuyo mai bhi neech mana jata hai. Apne nirdosh bhai ko rajya nishkasit karna. Putri-samaan, chote bhai ki patni par kudrishti dalna, adi kai karmo ko dekh kar, Vali ko aisi hi mrityu milni thi." Shri Ram said.

Tears fell from Tara's eyes as she removed the arrow from Vali's chest and gave it to Shri Ram.

"Mai ek pati-vrata stree hu, aur pati ke bina mera jeevan nahi. Kripiya issi teer se mera vadh kar dijiye Shri Ram." Tara said.

"Devi Tara, Mahabali Vali ke mrityu pashchat Sugreev ab Raja banenge. Aur isme unko aapke saath aur anubhav ki awashyakta hogi. Aur putra Angad jab woh apne Nana Sushen ke yaha se lautega toh usko bhi aap hi ko sambhalna hai. Batayiye kya ek pati-vrata aur Sati stree hoke aap inn sabhi uttardaitwo se mukt ho sakti hai ?" Shri Ram asked.

"Uchit keh rahe hai aap." Tara said wiping her tears.

"Mitra Sugreev, ab Mahabali Sugreev ka antim sanskar karo aur Kishkindha ke singhasan ko sambhalo.

IN SOME VERSIONS, THE CURSE OF BEING SEPARATED FROM HIS WIFE, IS NOT GIVEN TO SHRI RAM BUT TO LORD VISHNU BY THE WIFE OF JALANDHAR, VRINDA. WHILE IN SOME VERNACULAR VERSIONS IT IS TARA WHO CURSES RAM.

INTERESTING STUFF : THE LAW OF JUNGLE, IN RAMAYAN IS CALLED MATSYA NYAYE. IT MEANS THE BIGGER FISH EATS THE SMALLER FISH. SO IN THE LAW OF JUNGLE, THE STRONG ELIMINATES THE WEAK. THIS IS WHAT SHRI RAM MEANT WHEN HE SAID VALI WAS KILLED ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF JUNGLE.

WHEREAS IN DOMESTICATED OR CIVILIZED LAND, LIKE IN AYODHYA, LAWS ARE MADE TO PROTECT THE WEAK, WHERE AS IN THE LAW OF WILD OR THE LAW OF JUNGLE IT IS TO ELIMINATE THE WEAK.

FUN FACT : VANAR COMES FROM TWO WORDS 'VAN' AND 'NAR', SO IT LITERALLY MEANS MAN OF THE JUNGLE, NOT MONKEYS OR APES BECAUSE FOR THEM WE USE THE WORD 'KAPI'. SO HANUMAN JI, SUGREEV, ANGAD, ETC. WERE NOT MONKEYS OR APES.

THERE IS A THEORY SAYING THEY WERE HOMO NEANDERTHALS. AS THERE IS EVIDENCE OF HOMO NEANDERTHALS AND HOMO SAPIENS CO-EXISTING TOGETHER IN INDIA AND IN THE REST OF THE WORLD.

ALSO THE PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION OF VANARS AND HOMO NEANDERTHALS ARE VERY SIMILAR. LIKE STRONG, MUSCULAR AND HAIRY BODY, PROTRUDING JAWS ETC. BUT THERE IS NO EVIDENCE SAYING NEANDERTHALS HAD TAILS.....BUT AGAIN TAILS DON'T HAVE BONES SO THEIR CHANCES OF SURVIVING LIKE THE SKELETONS ARE ZERO JUST LIKE MUSCLES AND SKINS.

ALSO NEANDERTHALS WEREN'T AS EVOLVED AS HOMO SAPIENS SO THEY GOT EXTINCT. IN THE MAHABHARAT SHRI KRISHNA DID MENTION THE SPECIES OF JAMBUVANT AND HANUMAN JI WERE NOW EXTINCT AND THEY ARE THE LAST SURVIVING ONES.
