The newly wed couple, the Maharaj and Maharani of Suryanagar, Vishwaroop and Sharani were out in the forest for a leisure time.
"Maharaj, kya aap shabd-bhedi baan chala sakte hai ?" Sharani asked, Vishwaroop nodded.
"Toh dikhayiye." Sharani requested.
"Awashya, Maharani." Vishwaroop said.
He took a scarf and tied it around his eyes, he listened closely to each and every sound of the forest and heard an animal was roaming in the woods, by the footsteps the animal seems to be big.
Vishwaroop aimed his arrow at the woods and then shot it towards the animal. He removed the scarf and held Sharani's hand, going to that direction.
The smile of excitement on their faces turned into a frown of fear, as the animal they killed was a cow.
"MERI GAAYE ! KISNE KIYA YEH !?" A sage exclaimed coming towards them.
Vishwaroop and Sharani knew they had an omen coming to their way as the sage was none other than Maharishi Durvasa.
"KYA YEH TUMNE KIYA RAJAN !?" Rishi Durvasa asked.
"Kshama kijiye Maharishi, humse yeh anjane mai hogaya." Vishwaroop said.
"ANJANE MAI !? TUMNE MAHAPAAP KIYA HAI RAJAN !" Durvasa rishi roared.
"Humare pati ko kshama kardijiye Rishivar ! Humne inse kaha tha shabd-bhedi baan chalane ko." Maharani Sharani said.
"EK ASAHAYE JEEV KI HATYA KARNE KA DAND TUM DONO KO MILEGA !" Durvasa rishi yelled.
"Maharishi humse bhul hogayi....hum aapko nayi gaye dedenge....jitni chahiye utni gaye denge." Vishwaroop said.
"Wah Rajan wah ! Agar mai tumhare putra ka vadh kardu aur fir apni sampoorn sammpatti tumhare naam kardu toh kya tum mujhe kshama kar paoge !? Nahi !" Rishi Durvasa said.
"Mai, Atri-putra Durvasa, tumhe shraap deta hu ki tum jeevan bhar putra-viheen rahoge ! Tumhari yeh patni kabhi bhi tumhare santano ko janm nahi de payegi !" Durvasa rishi cursed and started leaving.
"NAHI MAHARISHI NAHI !" Vishwaroop called but Rishi Durvasa didn't pay a heed and left.
Maharani Sharani fell on her knees, touching her belly. She could never give birth now, never give Suryanshi Ravikul an heir to the throne, most importantly never be a mother.
"Maharani aap thik toh hai na ?"
"Maharaj.....hum ab Suryanagar ko naya shashak nahi de payenge." Maharani Sharani said. Vishwaroop lowered his gaze.
"Humara paramarsh maniye, aap dusra vivah karle." Maharani Sharani said.
"Nahi Maharani ! Humne keval aapse prem kiya hai aur dusra vivah na karne ka vachan diya hai." Vishwaroop said.
"Kintu hum aapko santan nahi de payenge." Sharani said, tears falling from her eyes.
"Agar humne vachan tod diya toh humare Ayodhya ke Bhrata Dashrath kya kahenge ? Suryanagar aur Bharatvarsh ke vaasi kya kahenge ki Maharaj Vishwaroop vachan ka palan nahi karte." Vishwaroop said, consoling her.
"Kintu Suryanagar ke Bhavishya ka kya ?" Maharani Sharani asked.
"Hume Kul-guru Krishnagupt se iss vishaye par charcha karni chahiye woh kuch hal awashya nikal lenge." Vishwaroop said consoling her.

"Sthiti vikat hai Rajan." Kul-guru Krishnagupt, the wisest said.
"Kya iska koi hal nahi ?" Vishwaroop asked.
