Thirteen.

Thirteen kills in five hours.

Surely she could do better.

It just wasn't enough for her.

"Kara, what are you- what did we talk about this morning?"

"You said not to call you no matter what."

"Uh huh, so what the fuck are you doing right now?"

"I miss you."

"Kara, I don't care."

"You've been out all dayyy."

Lena rolled her eyes, pocketing her gun to refrain from accidentally pulling the trigger.

"Would you stop whining? I've only been gone a few hours."

"Five hours, twenty two minutes and thirty one seconds."

"You timing me now baby?"

"No, I just-"

"I know, I know, you just know, I'll be home later okay? Just behave."

"But there's nothing to do!"

"You're just being a brat, there's plenty to do."

"I don't want to watch tv, I don't want to read a book, I don't want to do any of that stuff."

"How about you go workout, you like that right?"

"Well yes but-"

"Do that, problem solved."

"But Lena-"

"Kara, I have to go."

Lena hung up the phone before Kara could try to protest again, she threw the device in the backseat of her car, parking in front of a large building filled with sexist assholes.

This was going to be fun.

"And what exactly are you going to do when I get there?"

"Not be bored?"

"Can you give me an actual reason?"

"Um, we can um-"

"I'm hanging up now."

"Wait Lena-"

Lena hung up, but sighed when she felt the slightest pang of guilt in the very bottom of her stomach.

"Ugh, I hate being in love."

She very hesitantly called Kara back but couldn't help but smile when she heard the excitement in her lovers voice.

"Lena! Hi."

"Hi Kara."

Kara furrowed her eyebrows at the annoyance in Lenas tone.

"Are you, are you upset at me?"

"No baby I'm not, just a little frustrated at myself."

"Why? What happened?"
