I drove home with tears in my eyes. I never though I would be leaving this place. This is where I grew up. I decided to say goodbye to the most memorial places in my life. I first drove past my elementary school, Westridge Elementary School. I can remember walking into the building the first day of kindergarten. I was the shy kid that sat in the back and would read a book. Abby was the only one that would really talk to me. That's the day when she became my best friend. After that I drove past my middle school, Mandiville Middle School. That's where I had my first kiss under the old maple tree in the back of the school. Ben was his name and he was also my first boyfriend. It was a really awkward but I just laugh at the thought. I drove a a few more minutes from the park crossed from my house. It was where I met Riley. I remember like it was yesterday.

------------Flashback-------------------

It was a warm sunny, summer day. Abby and I were on the swings talking about Luke Bryan's new album. When all of a sudden, a guy was staring at me.

"Look, he staring at you." Abby said pointing at him.

"Who is that?" I asked looking at him, his blue eyes glowed as he stared at me. He winked then looked away. I could feel myself turn red in my cheeks.

"Oooo he made you blush." Abby said pointing at my cheeks and laughing,"Look he coming over here."

He started to walk over, holding a skateboard in one hand and dangling the other at his side. His light brown hair flopped to the right and his big blue eyes looked right at me which made my heart melt. His smile was beautiful.

"Hi," he said, " I can't help but notice you and I wanted to tell you I think your beautiful."

"Thanks." I said looking at the ground. My cheeks turn as red as an apple and I smiled super big showing my new straight teeth. Thank god for braces.

"So where do you go to school?" He asked looking at me.

"I will be in 8th grade at Wisconsin High School in the fall."

"Oh me too, I just moved from Denver. So what's you name?"

"Kelly."

"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl." he said holding out his hand, "My name is Riley."

"Nice to meet you." I said taking his hand and shaking it. I felt a spark as our hands touched.I could tell he felt it too.

"So I was wondering," He leaned against the tree," If I could have your number?"

I looked at Abby and she nodded excitedly.

"Sure."

He took his phone out of his pocket and I said my number.

"Thanks," he said winking, "I will text later."

After that day we texted every day.

---------End of flashback----------

I finally made it home and the large moving truck was already there. I parked my car at the side of the road and walked inside. A ton of boxes were stacked everywhere with labels. Kitchen utensils, my clothes, Christmas ornaments, and many more. My mom and dad were packing to last box as I walked into the kitchen.

"Hey hon," my mom said, "Did you say goodbye to everyone?"

"Yeah it was hard but I did it."

"I know sweetheart, It's hard for all of us. now go check and see if everything is out of your room."

"Ok" I said as I walked up to my now old bedroom and packed up my last things. I took my laptop, my phone and my Beats into my bag. Now my room was empty. Nothing at all. It looked so weird. It felt weird. I started to cry for like the third time today. Going to new school and falling a sleep in a new bed is going to be the weirdest thing ever. But I finally stopped and walked out of my room. For the last time.
