Good News

"Yes. Me again, darling."

I remained my emotion blank looking at the woman who makes my day  more worse.

Back then, I really doubted every single rumor about her. And if I say rumors, those are totally bad. Hindi ako naniwala sa mga sinasabi ng iba na siya ay napakasama at napakawalang puso.

Just because, I still didn't meet her in those days. Which makes me mad at my own self dahil bakit hindi ako naniwala sa kanila?

I don't know if she's really that bad and heartless. But because of our past meetings, I am slowly believing the other people. The way she looked at me? She always seems disgusted- No really disgust. At minsan kung makapagsalita siya ay nakakainsulto talaga at nakakapanliit.

She doesn't care if she's hurting someone by her actions or words. That's my impression of the very famous Donya Isabela of Sta. Valeria. who's now wearing her usual smirk.

"Doesn't seem happy to see me, huh?" She is smiling widely then suddenly flips her emotion to a blank and cold one like mine. "The feeling is mutual, lady."

I pursed my lips. Why is she here again? Kakapunta niya lang kahapon, ah?

"I need to talk to you." She answered the question in my head.

"For what?" I asked straightly.

Hindi niya ako sinagot at may sinenyales sa kanyang driver na nasa harapan.

Her driver went out and opened the door for me. Lumayo ako ng kaunti habang tinititigan si Donya Isabela who seems mourning cuz she's wearing a very dark outfit today. Tumaas ang kilay nito.

"This. Is. Important." She uttered.

I tilted my head, medyo nagdadalawang isip hanggang sa pumasok na ako sa Van. I left my umbrella outside dahil sobrang basa na no'n.

Pagkaupo ko ay nandidiring lumayo sa akin ang Donya at naupo sa pinakasulok kung saan malayo siya sa akin. I wanted to rolled my eyes. This old woman.

"What is it?" Diretsahan kong sinabi. This better not to take long dahil kung hindi ako nagkakamali, malapit ng dumating si Kale para sunduin ako.

"I guess... you didn't open the envelope that I gave you yesterday."

'Yes, because I burned it instead.' I didn't say what's in my mind. I don't want her to think I'm bitter or say anything kahit wala naman akong pakielam sa iisipin niya.  I just want this conversation to be short as far as possible.

She smirked and shooked her head in dismay. Yumuko siya at may kinuha sa loob ng kanyang manahaling bag. Inilabas niya ito at nilagay sa pagitan namin. She's really disgust, huh? Well, I am also starting too.

"Mabuti na lang talaga at matalino ako." She laughed. I frowned at her. Is something funny? "Open it, Amaia. And see what's inside."

I took a glance at the thing she's talking about.

It's an envelope again. Brown this time. Hinablot ko 'yon at matagal na tinitigan.

"Hindi 'yan bubukas kung tititigan mo lang."

I tried my best to stay calm even though I am starting to get annoyed.

I glared at the old woman. Mas nainis ako nang bigla kong naalala ang gago niyang apo. I didn't forget when he just called me earlier. That fucking asshole.

I opened the envelope and took the things inside. I was glaring at Donya Isabela while I'm doing it. She's smirking while looking at the thing I'm holding. Yumuko ako at pinagmasdan ang bagay na hawak.
