"Excuse me?" Bea's high-pitched voice made me bring back to my senses. "What are you saying, Mister? Anong mission? And why are saying that you'd take my friend with you?"

I don't need to ask him again to repeat what he said because Bea repeats it for me. And I don't think I heard the right thing so I think I still need to hear it from him.

"What is she saying?" I asked Kale.

I can't help but feel weird when I'm looking at those eyes. His eyes looked like mine. I don't know if this is a coincidence but honestly, I literally got goosebumps over my body.

"Pumasok ka muna." He said as he opened the shotgun seat.

"No, You're not coming with him, Amaia. We don't that man. Hindi natin alam kung may binabalak ba 'yan o ano." Bea said grabbing my hand.

"I'd just talk to her inside cuz I don't want someone to hear about our conversation." He disgustingly looked at my friend.

I frowned.

"If you want to talk to me them let them hear it." I snapped.

Tinapunan niya ako ng nakakatakot na tingin.

"This is a confidential thing. Amaia. If you want your friends to know what we'd talk about then it's on you, go tell them. But I don't want them to hear it with my own fucking mouth."

I gritted my teeth.

So all this time, this man is actually rude, huh? I wonder what's this all about.  Why is he suddenly so eager to talk to me? But whatever is it. I hope it's not bad news again. Cuz I'm very tired of it.

"Kung gusto mong kausapin, pare. Do'n na lang sa loob, para sigurado kaming wala kang gagawing kababalaghan. Hindi kami makikinig, do'n lang kami sa labas, promise."

I looked at my friends. Can't help but to felt touched by that simple thing. They are really concern for me.

Binalik ko ang tingin kay Kale na ngayon ay seryosong nakatingin sa dalawa kong kaibigan.

"That seems good. Ano, deal?" Ako habang nakataas ang isang kilay.

He sighed defeatedly. By that, I already knew the answer. "Whatever." He muttered.

I nodded as my curiosity rises, thinking and wondering what would he gonna tell me.

"So what is it?" I started talking.

We're inside the house now. Luckily,  Lola isn't home. She and
Ric's Grandma- Lola Helen went somewhere and I didn't have any idea where it is. Just heard that it's an event for the seniors.

Kale's eyes scanned our house and his eyes stopped somewhere. I looked at where he's looking and my eyes found the different display pictures of my Family. My aunt's pictures and my mother's. There are also some photos of me and Lola.

I looked at him in a weird way. He felt it I can say when he cleared his throat and looked at me.

"It's about your mother, Amaia." His voice was too low. "She wants to see you."

Kumunot ang noo ko nang marinig ang sinabi niya. No need to ask him to repeat it since I heard it clearly.

"Kilala mo nanay ko?" I asked.
