7 months have passed between this chapter and Utopia

Ezra wakes up next to his heavily pregnant wife Sabine with an arm wrapped around her while she remains asleep as he gets out of bed going to the refresher to shave and have a shower while his wife rests once he is finished in the shower he exits the refresher to return to his wife who has woken up and is getting changed.

"why are you up so early?" Sabine asks

"I wanted to have a shower and shave before we find out what this day is going to throw at us" Ezra replies

"come here Ezra" she says as she grabs the bottom of his shirt pulling him into a kiss which soon turns passionate between the two as he rests her against a wall as she starts removing some of her clothes before jumping and wrapping her legs around Ezra's torso.

"Sabine, what's wrong?" Ezra asks as this is irregular behaviour from Sabine

"I just want to be close to you before our child is born in a few days" Sabine responds

"Bine, this child will change a lot of things however my love for you will not change" Ezra reassures his wife

"thank you Ezra, I love you" Sabine responds

"I love you more than anything Sabine and I wont let anything bad happen to you" he says

as they redress and leave the room together they see Hera and Jacen in the common room with Tristan playing with the small boy as the boy demonstrates basic force abilities using the force to push and pull light objects

"Hera" both Ezra and Sabine say before hugging their surrogate mother

"hey Ezra and Sabine, how is my granddaughter?" Hera asks

"she is doing well, I went for a scan yesterday and everything seems to be going good ready for the main day" Sabine responds

"I am glad to hear it, Ezra I was told by Sabine that you have been having nightmares of her dying in childbirth, have these continued?" Hera asks her surrogate son

"I am afraid so, it seems every night I have the dreams like something terrible is going to happen I just cannot see what causes it" Ezra responds

"hey, I heard you have been looking for work" she says to the couple

"we have yes but so far there is little" Ezra responds

"a new post has opened for a general in the New Republic Navy, I can put in a good word for you Ezra plus the pay is very good" Hera informs him

"sounds great, would I be stationed in this system or Hosnian?" Ezra asks

"you would be in command of your own ship so anywhere after all we recently purchased quite a few ships due to apparent Imperial sightings in the Unknown Regions" Hera mentions

"I will join the New Republic" Ezra says looking to Sabine

"Sabine, a commander position has opened in the New Republic Navy where you will serve with Ezra which would be ideal for your relationship and your child" Hera says

"I will also join" Sabine informs him grabbing her stomach before yelling out in agony

"Sabine!" Ezra says rushing to her side as she lays on the floor

"what's wrong Sabine?" Ezra says standing over her

"Ezra I feel strange" Sabine says as he kneels next to her

"What is it, can you describe it?" Ezra says concerned

"Its the child, I think it is ready" Sabine responds
