Return of an old friend

Utopia

a few days after the wedding Ezra and Sabine leave krownest on one of their ships to return to Lothal so Ezra can see the prosperity that has taken place on the planet, this is the first time he has been to Lothal since coming back. As they exit the atmosphere of Krownest, Ezra is sitting in the back of the ship meditating attempting to reach out to the Jedi of old including his former master Kanan.

"master" Ezra calls through the force 

"Ezra, I am here" Kanan responds 

"why did you do it?" Ezra asks slightly annoyed but sadly at the same time

"I done it to rescue the family I care for so much" Kanan responds 

"because of you we were able to free Lothal, your behaviour made me the man I am today I sacrificed myself to save Lothal and the crew" Ezra responds 

"don't let your emotions cloud your judgement my young padawan" Kanan responds putting a hand on his shoulder 

"I... I can save you if I go back in the world between worlds the same way I saved Ahsoka" Ezra responds

"no, my death must remain permanent as no one should have the power to reverse death not the light side nor the dark side" Kanan responds 

"master, there is something I must tell you about" Ezra says to his master

"what is it Ezra?" Kanan responds sincerely

"Sabine is pregnant with our child but I keep having nightmares about her dying in childbirth, what do I do?" Ezra asks 

"I should condemn you but at the same time I have a son with Hera but keep your mind clear and open to the force but I will be there to help you when ever you need it Ezra" Kanan says before his ghost disappears as Ezra opens his eyes and walks to the cockpit to be with Sabine

"hey Ezra" Sabine says 

"Hey Sabine, I just saw Kanan in a vision" Ezra says to her

"you saw Kanan? what did he say?" Sabine asks sadly 

"remain open to the force and don't bring him back" Ezra says defeated 

"you can bring people back?" Sabine asks 

"yes it is how I brought Ahsoka back from the dead" he responds

"Ezra, no one should have that power to decide who lives and who dies" Sabine responds

"I know but I wont let anyone destroy my new family, you, our child and our new family" Ezra replies 

Sabine lands the ship just outside of capital city on Lothal as they go to Ezra's tower where they start cleaning it taking any relics Ezra has lying around that he wants to bring back to Krownest with him.

Sabine and Ezra walk into the city to go the market to collect some food when Ezra is paying he can no longer see Sabine until he hears her muffled screams as she is taken aboard an Imperial shuttle belonging to Thrawn this causes Ezra to give in to his anger reaching out with the force crushing the stormtroopers around him before he runs to the shuttle and attempts to jump onto the ship before it takes off but he fails.

"SABINE, NO!" Ezra yells as he is overtaken by the dark side as he reaches out holding the ship still using the force pulling it to the ground where he enters using his lightsabre as he slaughters all of the Imperials inside as he looks to Sabine she looks terrified 

"Ezra, your eyes" she says as it shows him to have a gold ring around his eyes having given in to his anger 

"Sabine, come on we're going" he says as he helps her up but she can feel the anger resonating from him
