Ricky didn't move an inch and just stood there with his hands in his pockets.

"Alice calm down," Theo told and put his hand on my shoulder.

"Don't touch me," I slapped his hand away. I pinched the bridge of my nose with my fingers.

"Just sit down Ali, let's talk." Ricky spoke in a mature tone.

"What are you my therapist now? I don't know why you're here-"

"To help!" He exclaimed, "I'm here to help you!"

"You mean to fix me? To rid me of who I'm about to become? To convince me that I'm not my father's daughter?"

I was met with silence again, I had enough of it. I grabbed my keys from the coffee table and took off. It sure as hell felt like I was giving up but at this point I wasn't afraid of that, in fact I welcomed it. I was tired, exhausted of trying to mend everything he destroyed.

I soon found myself outside of Donna's Diner, a place I knew I wouldn't be judge and outcasted. I stepped out of my car and spotted Donna just walking out the door.

"Hey Donna!" I called out and jogged up the steps to the diner.

"I'm sorry dear, I was just closing up."

"I don't mean to be a bother but, would you mind if I stayed for a bit?" I asked softly with a  persuasive smile.

She pressed her red lips together, "alright fine." Donna pushed the key back into the slot and opened the door. She flicked on the lights and I slide into a booth near by.

"Is there anything you need? It's a little late for a coffee." She laughed softly and I smiled, she really was a kind soul.

"Just some company, I guess." I spoke quietly and she was quick to sit across from me.

"So, where's your lover boy tonight?"

I let out a sigh, "I think I really messed things up, I can't trust myself anymore."

"Something tells me this isn't just about Ricky."

I couldn't help but laugh, I found the situation comical, it was my way of coping I suppose. "I think this is the most complicated my life has ever been, and I've been through some defining shit."

"Language," she scolded.

"Sorry," an unplanned smile formed on my face.

"You want some advice from a wise old woman?" She grinned with a funny smile, I haven't known Donna for very long but she's yet to fail on putting a smile on my face.

"I'd love some advice right about now."

She suddenly held my hands warmly and leaned forward. "You're still a kid, Alice. You've got one life and its yours, you choose what goes on in it. The world doesn't revolve around you, but your world revolves around you. You're a bright kid, so shine."

I tilted my head at her, she was too good. "Do you have kids?"

She snickered, "no but you're kinda my kid now don't you think?"

I squeezed her hands and smiled. "Thank you, but does this mean you won't serve me alcohol?"

She held her finger up to me and slide out of the booth and went behind the counter, she came walking back with two paper cups and a bottle of wine in her hands. She poured the red liquid into the cups and slide one over to me.

"This isn't very motherly of you."

"Well it wasn't very daughterly of you making out with some boy in my photo booth."

"Fair point," I laughed as I swirled the liquid around in my cup. "On a serious note, thank you I really appreciate this I want you to know that."

"Thank you," she spoke. "I don't know exactly what's going on in your life but, I'm happy to help in anyway I can."

"So you're happy to sit here and drink wine with me?"

"I couldn't be happier."
