"i'll race you?" he furrows his eyebrows waiting for my response
"really? i'm tiredd" i groan
"fine, i'll do this instead" he shrugs as he picks me up by the waist and throws me over his shoulder
i kick my legs around trying to get down
"nooo" i shouted
he ran over to the water and put my down leaving me in shock to how cold the water was
"better?" he laughs
i nod as i start swimming around trying to get used to the water
a few minutes go by with splashing eachother and messing around whilst the others were snacking
i heard a few shouts from the left of me, i turned around to see what was happening to find a group of boys around my age playing volleyball but in the water?
i shurg it off and turn back round to see ross floating in the water as i get a smack to the back of the head
i groan in pain and bring my hand up to my head before turning around to find a volleyball laying in the water next to me.
great.
"i'm so sorry" one of the kids says rushing up to me
"it's fine" i mumble as i rub my head slightly
"here let me see" he says pulling my hand away and looking closer to where it hit
"it might leave a bruise, sorry again" he frowns
i shake my head a little and give him a weak smile as he rubs my head
"what happened?" i heard the water splash around a little
ross.
"oh nothing, i'm fine" i say as i turn around leaving the boy behind me
"you sure?" he says with an attitude
"yes?"
"sure" he raises his eyebrows
i roll my eyes as i turn back round to the boy
"i'm kenzie, thanks for apologising" i smile
"i'm ollie, i'm sure i've seen you around before, don't your parents own that beach house over there?" he says pointing over to the house
"yeah, we come here a few time, i'll see you around" i nod as he gives me a smile
i turn around to see ross gone, i shake my head before walking back over to the shore, i sit on the sand and just think
it was so peaceful and i could get away from everything here
was ross really jealous?
"kenzie, come get some food" max shouted knocking me out of thought
i sigh before standing up and walking over to the others, i grab my towel and wrap it around my body before brushing through my hair and sitting down next to maddie and ryland
