"Boo! Come on Ari. You're supposed to beat his ass." Emiko giggles from next to Iruka.

"Would you get your big ass body off of me. I can't breathe."

He chuckles as he gets up, reaching a hand out to me to help me.

"Built like a fucking ape." I mumble as I dust off my shirt.

"It's not my fault you can't handle some simple sparring." He shrugs.

"Let me practice my lightning release on you. Then we'll see who's laughing."

We walk towards the edge of the field where Kakashi and Emiko have stood to talk to who I'm assuming is Ria.

"Oh, she's so pretty." I whisper to Asuma, nudging him with my elbow.

"Pretty and nice as fuck. She's my favorite out of all Em's friends." He says back.

I watch Ria put her arms around Iruka as he drapes one of his over her shoulders.

She says something to him and he looks down at her, eyes bright and cheeks slightly flushed as one of the biggest smiles I've ever seen on him, spreads across his face.

That's it. I'm sold.

"So this must be Akari." Her pale green eyes light up as soon as she sees me. She's not at all how I pictured her, but she's perfect.

Her short, bleached blonde hair reaches just above her lightly sun kissed shoulders. She's slim, not nearly as petite as Emiko, but has a slightly athletic build similar to mine.

She's beautiful, no wonder why Iruka likes her.

"I've been waiting forever to meet you." her cheeks glow pink as she reaches out to pull me into a hug. I glance at Iruka from over her shoulder as he looks at me expectantly.

I give him a big, reassuring smile and I see him melt with relief.

"It's so nice to finally meet you Ria." I pull away from the hug, lightly squeezing her arms.

"I know. I've been waiting to meet you too. Everyone raves about you. Iruka, Em, even Asuma." She giggles.

I glance at Asuma who furrows his brows and shakes his head in denial, making me roll my eyes.

"I'm so happy! You can finally hang out with us now!" Emiko claps her hands in celebration, pulling laughter from everyone.

There's no way that anyone could dislike Emiko. She's the sweetest and most adorable person I've ever met.

Asuma sits down by the tree, pulling Em down with him and Kakashi walks over to me to grab my hand and try to pull me towards the field.

"You said today's the day right?" He mumbles by my ear. "So prove it." He says.

I hear the excitement in his voice and it gets me hype to try the jutsu.

"We'll be here." Iruka says, sitting himself on the ground and patting the space in between his legs for Ria.

"I'm excited to see what you can do out there." Ria smiles up at me.
