"Well today was a disaster" I laugh sitting on the couch beside Jack as he turns on a movie

"I can't believe you kissed him!" Jack shouts

"I didn't kiss him! He kissed me!" I laugh

"Well did you kiss back?" He asks with an eyebrow raised

"Obviously" I whisper, avoiding eye contact

"So you kissed him!" We both laugh

"Enough, we're changing the subject"

"I'd like to say today wasn't fully a disaster but I just really wanted to punch Daniel in the face" Jack laughs putting a bowl of popcorn in between us

"I probably deserved it, not gonna lie. I hurt him by leaving, and poor little Ben didn't get his father for so long" Jack gasps grabbing his chest

"Hey! I've been here the whole time for our son, Rebecca! How dare you!" Jack and I burst into a fit of laughter until getting startled by a knock on the door

"It's almost 1 in the morning, who's coming over now?!" I whisper shout

"I don't know, just um, go hide in the kitchen"

"Hide?!"

"Y/n, go" He points to the kitchen and I run to hide behind the island.

Why am I hiding? I have no idea, unless Jack thinks we're about to get robbed.

Oh great, this is how I die.

I hear Jack open the door and mumbled talking but I can't tell what's going on, so I stay hidden.

"Y/n, it's for you" Jack scoffs and I stand up.
I look up and see Daniel standing on the front steps, soaked from the rain.

"Daniel? What are you doing here?" I laugh seeing him soaked

"I'll give you two some space" Jack grabs the bowl of popcorn and takes it upstairs. Knowing him, he's sitting around the corner listening in

"So, what's up? Why are you here in the pouring rain?" I laugh, tussling his hair

"Can I at least come in?" He laughs shaking his head causing water to drip down from his hair

"Oh! Yeah! Of course" I laugh getting out of his way. He steps in but stays on the welcome mat.

"I um, I came to, um"

"Is everything okay?" I get scared of his nervousness

"Run away with me" Daniel says and I hear Jack start coughing, knowing he just choked on his popcorn

"You okay?!" I yell up to Jack

"Yeah! Continue!" Jack yells back causing Daniel and I to laugh

"Run away with me, we can skip town, go start our lives somewhere else, away from everything" He grabs my hand but I look at him as if he's the craziest person on earth

"Yeah, not gonna happen" I laugh and he lets go of my hand. "What about your band? Your family and friends? The millions of fans who absolutely adore you? You're just gonna walk away from it all?"

"Yeah, I guess I never really thought this through"

"Hey Jack?" I yell

"Yeah?" He asks popping his head from around the corner at the top of the stairs

"Can you watch Theo for a bit?"

"Yeah" Jack smiles

"Why?" Daniel asks.
